Good pub grub

A Brain's pub so the usual menu. Two can dine for £6 each from a selected menu. Nice place though with an outside seating area if you have the weather. Efficient staff. Rang our order through so was being served almost as soon as we'd arrived. Convenient if you work locally in Bridgend.

We arrived without a booking, but the staff found us a table quickly, we ordered currys but both could not really be called curry , one was watery, the other (the spicy one) i think they had forgot to put any chillies or curry past in, not to be repeated again.....

We decided to have the beef Sunday meal. Portions were, tiny 3 extremely tiny 'roast spuds' each. We initially thought it was a child's meal..... It wasn't. But then again the waitress never checked back. That's after she walked round the pub the pub 3 times with our meal. Yes our meal was cold as well. The vegetables were over... More

Visited this place with my father-in-law yesterday. He sent his food back as the 'fresh ham' was not defrosted thoroughly, medium-rare sirloin was virtually black, but on the plus side - my dog enjoyed my sausages!

It was my first visit to the Pheasant so was a little concerned about finding it but need not have worried as it is right on the main road - can't miss it, plenty of parking spaces. We had booked for a table of 8, the table they gave us was nice but a little cold with the door opening... More

I visited here with a group of friends and the pub was lovely. Good atmosphere and very busy. The staff were helpful and the service was good. It was a shame the food didn't follow suit. I had the Taverners Chicken which was chicken breast with BBQ sauce, bacon and melted cheese. The chicken was overcooked and dry, the bacon... More

Went here with about a party of 25 and booked the back room separately for a 60th birthday meal. Food was average but when paying two for £12 I suppose you can't complain. Great location and nice setting that you book the private room
