Good food good price

Called in for a quick meal rather than cooking. Good service from staff. Seated quickly even thou we hadn't booked before hand. Ordered at the bar , food arrived quickly. We both had Cajun chicken one with chips , one with a jacket. Tasty and well cooked. Very good value at 2 meals for £12. Will... read more

We visited as a film of 3 and as it is very close to where we lived we were excited to try it as with the lovely weather that was pending it potentially could have been a regular venue to sit out for an hour or so. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. A trip to the bar was... More

We spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon at this Brains pub which is attractive inside and out (large outdoor tables area alongside playing green and opposite parish church, plenty of parking). We had a wide range of fare covering a party of nine and everyone was happy with the food. The staff around the tables and at the bar were cheerful... More

Good food... really enjoyed the sausage and mash. Had a side of Onion Rings, some of the best I've had in a while! Drinks are well priced. There is also a good space around the pool table (makes a change!)

This is a lovely pub/ resteraunt with great garden area. The real asset to this pub are the staff who are very friendly. I recently had two visits here. One in the week after work and one with family. On both occasions the food was lovel. Served in good time and very tasty. I found the staff really helpful with... More

This is set in a pleasant village on the outskirts of Bridgend. It has a lovely sitting area outside with great views. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's the usual pub fayre though with only a few innovative 'special' dishes. Main courses start at around £7.50. They're served on quite large plates but with strange spaces on the... More

Visiting on a busy Saturday night with husband and 6 friends. Bar staff were quite friendly, although didn't have a bottle of wine that was advertised, which I would have liked. Food was quite good apart from one serving of sweet n sour chicken which only contained 3 small pieces of chicken. Waiting staff were good and one waiter, Cameron,... More

My family and I recently booked this pub for a birthday meal. The place is newly refurbished, with the emphasis now being on the restaurant. The surroundings were very pleasant, with a real country- pub feel. The menu was extensive, and catered for everyone, and there were waiting staff who took our order table-side. We did have to go to... More

On Tuesday we went here for a meal. The food was tasty; it was just a shame about the very slow service. It didn't help that I ordered a main meal that came with chips and they forgot to cook the chips. When I brought the matter of the missing chips to the attention of the waitress, she was not...
