Pleasant night out.

Visiting on a busy Saturday night with husband and 6 friends. Bar staff were quite friendly, although didn't have a bottle of wine that was advertised, which I would have liked. Food was quite good apart from one serving of sweet n sour chicken which only contained 3 small pieces of chicken... read more

This is a lovely pub/ resteraunt with great garden area. The real asset to this pub are the staff who are very friendly. I recently had two visits here. One in the week after work and one with family. On both occasions the food was lovel. Served in good time and very tasty. I found the staff really helpful with... More

This is set in a pleasant village on the outskirts of Bridgend. It has a lovely sitting area outside with great views. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's the usual pub fayre though with only a few innovative 'special' dishes. Main courses start at around £7.50. They're served on quite large plates but with strange spaces on the... More

My family and I recently booked this pub for a birthday meal. The place is newly refurbished, with the emphasis now being on the restaurant. The surroundings were very pleasant, with a real country- pub feel. The menu was extensive, and catered for everyone, and there were waiting staff who took our order table-side. We did have to go to... More

On Tuesday we went here for a meal. The food was tasty; it was just a shame about the very slow service. It didn't help that I ordered a main meal that came with chips and they forgot to cook the chips. When I brought the matter of the missing chips to the attention of the waitress, she was not... We went here for a lunchtime work meal which we pre-ordered. The menu was extensive with maybe too many choices. The service was very good with our food arriving as soon as we arrived. The food however, was just average. It was presented well, but the chicken was overcooked and dry and rather diasappointing. It's a shame really as this... More

Four of us sat in cramped conditions, having booked a table some time before. My understanding of a Specials Board is exactly that. Breaded Place at £9.75 must have come out of a box, being hard & crusty. The chips were mostly hard as well, with two spinning to the floor when my fork tried to pierce them! Nothing special... We have visited this restaurant on many occasions, however we have just been to the pheasant and the food was disgusting, I asked for a half chicken at £9.99. When I received it I was not expecting Pousin, I managed to retrieve one piece of meat, the rest was all bones I sent it back the waitress stated that the... More
