We were invited to dine here last Saturday night by a Maggie, good friend of my wife. Le Raj is clearly very popular and there was a steady turnover that night as parties of people ate and left , to be replaced by the queues forming at reception. The ubiquitous pompadums were quickly served, along with a range of appetisers,... More

I have been here quite a lot over the last 18 months and it's been really good, but my visit on 28 6 14 was my last! The starters of fish cakes and prawn purée were good, and that's it! The lamb boona was a tasteless mess of watery brown liquid with pieces of lamb! Complained to the boss and... More

Went early on a Saturday night, staff attentive but not overbearing, and the decor and ornaments were a bit more interesting than standard indian restaurants. Food - good choice with all the usual dishes and some south Indian were a bit more adventurous and unusual - like Goan crab bhuna. Food was prompt and hot and tasty. Naans light and... More

Been here a few times now and not been disappointed yet. Staff are very friendly and menu is good; it usually takes me 10 minutes to decide what to have here. Every time we leave it feels like we have eaten too much, but enjoyed every mouthful. Prices are reasonable but perhaps we should order less because the final bill... More

Our last night out after a holiday in Wales and discovered this restaurant. Wish we had found it before. Very pleasant venue with excellent staff and service. Very popular and advisable to book.

I recently came here with my parents and 2 brothers. We've had a takeaway before but this was first time eating there. We got a lovely round table in the corner so we could all see each other and it was quiet in our section (despite it being busy elsewhere in the restaurant). The food was first class. Every single... Never had a bad meal at Le Raj. Sometimes quite busy but the food is definitely worth waiting for. A large selection and some delicious vegetarian food

Went for a takeaway, waited over an hour for our food to be made, yes the restaurant was busy and so was the drive through, but other people were getting their food before us. However saying that the food was lovely, think will ring and order next time instead of waiting for so long.

I've booked this restaurant twice recently, and on both occasions waited in the entrance area for 15 minutes to be seated, whilst the staff avoid any eye contact. Both times I've given up and left. I won't be returning for a third try. It's a real shame that they can't handle being busy, as the food quality would be 4-5... More

Just home from a family meal at le raj and not impressed with the place at all. To start there are 2 disabled parking places which were taken, one by management!!!!! I had 2 disabled elderly family members with me who had to walk the length of the car park as management refused to move the vehicle. They wanted me... More
