Rare occasion that we do come here is a real treat - food is tasteful and presented v.well !! I can't help but comment on the negative comments below, in particular of jackarmy, you only ever have negative comments to make about restaurants in the Porthcawl area but why do you keep going back?

T.he Verdict: Upon arrival, the family and I were greeted by the welcoming staff at Le Raj. They opened the doors for us and seated us right away. The decor is right on point. Indian is the cuisine and India is where you think you're dining. Cosy private booths surround the outer restaurant with the bigger main tables situated centrally.... More

Considering this is ostensibly "one of the best Indian's in South Wales" whilst we found the quality of food to be ok, we found the spicing to be totally inadequate rendering the food bland and boring. To add insult to injury the food was cold on collection (AND 15 minutes late). After complaining to management they disagreed with our complaint... More

It was a wet miserable Monday evening and after a long day in work, I knew just what I needed! My mistress: Six poppadum and mint sauce. I knew just the place. Le Raj - Quality Indian Cuisine - using the highest quality fresh products, in beautiful surroundings in Cornelly near Porthcawl in South Wales. So there I was, foot... More

This has to be one of the best Indian Restaurants in South Wales. The atmosphere, food and service are second to none. I have dined in this restaurant many many times and I cannot find a fault.

It's not quite in Bridgend but is certainly worth the drive out. Lovely big tables authentic decor and friendly staff await. The butter chicken is dynamite and one of the best I've ever had. We are yet to try the buffet on the weekend but hoping to visit soon. Portions are good and service is the same. If you're wondering... More

Further to my review in October last year, I was pleased to see Wayne review on 15 January 2015, which I believe 100%! It amazes me that people still go to this dump! It seems that me and Wayne are the only ones telling the truth about this pathetic place, with tasteless food, ignorant Staff and a Manager/Owner/chef that haven't... More

I was catching up with some old friends from Bridgend and they'd insisted on going to Le Raj, saying it was unlike any other restaurant ect ect BUT I must admit I had looked up this restaurant on here and I wasn't really looking forward to it and had pre judged because of the negative comments, but then again I... Been going to the Le Raj for the last 10 years and it never seems to dissapoint. If your serious about you curries this should definately be on the top of your list. The service is always friendly, efficient and personal at the same time they know when to leave you alone ( unlike some places). The food is out... More
