Stayed in Bridgend recently whilst in Wales for a sports event at the Millennium Stadium, found the Old Cottage on Google as the local town had changed since i last visited and wanted to find somewhere for a nice meal. The service and quality of food is of a very good standard with a wide selection of choices on the... More

It was my fist time to eat at the Old Cottage and it won't be the last after finding this little Gem of a restaurant. With a lovely lunchtime menu, with good choice. The food and Service was excellent. Well worth giving it a try.

We visited as a large group on a Friday and weren't disappointed. I think key to this visit was that we booked our table early (we were seated by 6-6.15) and had pre booked our meals. The service was excellent, prompt and courteous. The food was very nicely presented and cooked well - this was table-wide feedback. The only issue... More

Stopped at Bridgend on long drive to Pembrokeshire and found this restaurant on Google. Would have struggled to find it otherwise as it hidden away down a narrow passage. Lunch was excellent with two courses for only £9.50. The family voted the turkey bacon and mushroom pie one of the best and the choice of sweets was so varied and... More

The food was excellent. We went at lunch and the menu was varied and the quality of what is served is great for the price. The portion sizes were also excellent. As a veggie my options were varied and I really enjoyed what I had. Good service- friendly staff and they were very helpful. The waiter was attentive and chatty.... More

Having heard good reviews about the restaurant, I decided to give it a try. The stains on the carpets and walls should have alerted me, but I thought I would stick with it. Having asked for a table for one, I was informed that there was availability, however, to my horror, I was sat at the table of another party... More

Disappointing. Went for a Sunday lunch but, despite "booking", they seemed to have no idea we were coming. Ushered to the upstairs section on arrival, we all found the place very untidy and messy. The carpets were extremely dirty and stained. There were stains on the walls too. It didn't look as if any cleaning had taken place since closing... More

Dined at the Old Cottage for the second time, and must say this was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. We eat out regularly and like to try different restaurants, what makes this place stand out is the friendly attentive staff and the excellent quality food in a nice setting. We will now be... More
