This isn't far from where I live. The building is lovely and old but been refurbished as a fantastic eating place. The food is amazing. The staff are very accommodating, friendly and approachable. Really really lovely. Highly recommended.

Went the weekend before christmas, it was very busy but the food didn't take long at all. The pate was delicious and I had the turkey which was devine. With extra yorkshires and roasties given too. It really is well worth a visit

Well where do I start? I mean, really.. The food was amazing! I came here with my partner for New Year's Eve and had their NYE Gala menu (5 courses), and each one was superb. No, outstanding! The food was crammed full of flavour and each one so delicate; I didn't want it to end. I particularly liked the main... More

Stayed in Bridgend recently whilst in Wales for a sports event at the Millennium Stadium, found the Old Cottage on Google as the local town had changed since i last visited and wanted to find somewhere for a nice meal. The service and quality of food is of a very good standard with a wide selection of choices on the... More

It was my fist time to eat at the Old Cottage and it won't be the last after finding this little Gem of a restaurant. With a lovely lunchtime menu, with good choice. The food and Service was excellent. Well worth giving it a try.

We visited as a large group on a Friday and weren't disappointed. I think key to this visit was that we booked our table early (we were seated by 6-6.15) and had pre booked our meals. The service was excellent, prompt and courteous. The food was very nicely presented and cooked well - this was table-wide feedback. The only issue... More

Stopped at Bridgend on long drive to Pembrokeshire and found this restaurant on Google. Would have struggled to find it otherwise as it hidden away down a narrow passage. Lunch was excellent with two courses for only £9.50. The family voted the turkey bacon and mushroom pie one of the best and the choice of sweets was so varied and... More

The food was excellent. We went at lunch and the menu was varied and the quality of what is served is great for the price. The portion sizes were also excellent. As a veggie my options were varied and I really enjoyed what I had. Good service- friendly staff and they were very helpful. The waiter was attentive and chatty.... More
