Lovely food

Went on a Friday evening at 7PM-ish. The building is lovely and does have an old fashioned cottage-like feel to it; a lot of wood and stone. The menu does advise that it can take a while to prepare dishes, I think we waited about 35-45 minutes for our meals to come which was fine as we had time... read more

The food was amazing. Service was amazing. Staff were amazing. Really helpful. The place itself is lovely. Beautiful surroundings. Nothing else to say really. Would totally recommend. Not too expensive either so well worth it

We have been the Old Cottage on a number of occasions, as a couple, small family group and a large party. I have never been disappointed with either the service or the quality of the food. This is a family run business where the food is excellent and everyone is extremely friendly. I defiantly would recommend their Sunday Lunch as... More

We were staying in a local hotel on a visit for a family wedding. The staff at the old cottage accommodated 6 adults and 1 child without booking. Very friendly staff and good service. Food lovely! We were all able to choose something from the menu with no complaints. Good value for money too. Was a great recommendation from our... More

Would have given a full 5 stars the food was excellent so to the staff and venue. only thing that lets it down is the cheap table cloths and the poor selection of vegetables.

I visited this restaurant with work colleagues, there was a fair amount of us about 14 odd and I have to say the service was brilliant, didn't wait long at all, 5/10 minutes at the most. The food was amazing, hot, and just enough to feel quite full when you finished. I had two courses, the steak pie with chips... More

Excellent food, well presented and served by very friendly staff. The food was so good not one of our party of 4 left a morsel on their plate. Good choices throughout the menu and good sized portions. We had a fabulous evening and will definitely visit again next time we are in Bridgend. Do not be put off by the... More

4 of us dined on a Saturday night, we arrived slightly early but were taken straight to our table (booking highly recommended). It was busy but staff were attentive without being intrusive, gave us ample time to order and the food wasn't long in arriving. The thing to remember is it's not a fast food restaurant so well worth the... More

We frequently dine at this restaurant both as a family party (about ten people) and often on a lunchtime just two people, We have never had a bad meal or anything at all that isn't excellent. The atmostphere is very relaxing and the service is excellent too
