Excellent food, well cooked and presented. Quite pricey but worth it as we were out for a special occasion. Very good, friendly service.

My partner and I popped in for lunch on a Monday after a long walk up Cwm Oergwm. We were surprised to find it open as majority of pubs around Wales always shut on a Monday! What a lovely meal and friendly staff. Altho the menu said that the favourites board was only served up to 2.30, they said we... More

Went here whilst on holiday in the area. Great free car park with lovely outdoor seating area. No signal or wifi which was disappointing. Butcher's style counter is a bit intimidating and the menu isnt as detailed as id have liked. Having allergies, nothing is stated as included. I.E: Tomatoes, sauces, etc. Food tasted beautiful, small amount for the high... More

In August 2011 we had a very nice evening at the White Swan enjoying excellent food. Travellers should make a reservation in the bar since the restaurant is quite posh. The prices are high but justified by the quality.

We arrived late... tired after 10miled trekking the Be cons. ... owner was very accommodating and served us an extra homemade bread selection on the house. We ordered fish... turbot and sea bass and although it wasn't on the menu.. he was happy to adapt the meal to what we wanted.... perfect!!! Eton mess was sublime... sweet juicy fruit... cream... Newly refurbished and under new ownership, The White Swan has upped its game. The lunch menu was extensive as was the lovely 'specials board'. I had a Steak Ciabatta and side salad for a mid-day treat. For a sandwich lunch, the beef was deliciously soft and caramelised with the sauce beautifully. My other half had the club sandwich, which again... More

Familiar restaurant, new bistro menu. SLOW but nice when delivered. Bread plates left unadorned, glasses un filled, strange mixture of un opened restaurant/bistro in an old favourite

On a walk with my walking group when we came across the back entrance of this pub. What a beautiful setting with the foliage and nice outside decor. Inside the bar area is really nice and so are the toilets. A couple of our walkers have food including a burger and an antipasti dish to share. The presentation of the... More

Had lunch here and I have to say the food was incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb burger. Local meat, and home-made chips make all the difference. Will definitely be returning but hopefully in the evening, I've seen the meat in the counter and love the idea of choosing my own steak etc, and with the vast selection of unusual... More
