Another brilliant lunch

We always go here. Lee and Nicola run a brilliant cafe/bookshop. The ambiance is perfect, good music, good conversation, brilliant choice of books. The food is well cooked, all locally sourced. Bread tasty and so fresh. Cakes to die for. Long may they continue.

A great find passing through Brecon today with my mother and grandmother, I had a cranberry green tea and they made me a vegan salad with hummus. Chatted with the locals and the staff were happy and welcoming. A lovely selection of books and I look forwards to my new 'The Garden Forager by Adele Nozedar'. If I'm in Brecon... More

We came across The Hours while having an aimless wander around Brecon and were really pleased that we did. It's a lovely, snug little cafe and bookshop with a nice atmosphere and a good range of both food and books. The staff are very friendly and there is a general sense that a great deal of care, thought and attention... More

Breakfast, lunch or just coffee and cake are all accommodated for at The Hours. Nothing is too much trouble, special requests are catered for and all produced from the Tardis sized kitchen. The Menu supports local produce, therefore it's fresh and tasty at all times. Daily special boards too offering a hot soups or homemade quiche or different salads. For... More

Stopped in here by chance for a coffee and to browse their excellent bookshop. Had a nice chat with the lovely staff, found a book I'd been looking for for ages and had the best cup of coffee for a long time... Best cafe I found in Brecon hands down. Thanks.

Snug and friendly. We stopped for tea/coffee and a couple of hot cross buns. Hubby was offered damson jam by the lovely chef (as he does not take butter) ...nice touch. Most def be back.

Just got back from a beautiful lunch at "The Hours" - home made quiche, potatoes and salad. The food here never fails to impress. Nicky, the cook, puts her heart into all she makes. As usual, her pastry was crisp, with no "soggy bottom". All the staff are friendly and the eclectic mix of low level background music never fails... More
