We decided to try this restaurant for a take away whilst on holiday. We read the reviews and decided the good outweighed the bad or undecided. We ordered several starters and a main course along with a naan bread. A thirty minute time was given and the bill was around £30. When we tried the food however it was very... More

We have visited this every year since it opened. There is a very good Nepalese and Indian menu and staff eager to assist you in choosing if you are not sure. I always have to ask what goes with what. There is a wine and beer list covering most tastes. Worth booking as it is a small intimate restaurant and... More

A group of us went on Saturday night. This was my first visit to Gurkha Corner and I can see that I will be returning, enjoyed the meal and the staff where very friendly. Would definitely recommend this to others.

Cosy little place. A little different from the mainstream. I like the idea of choosing the heat of each dish. The ingredients are well described on the menu. I tried the fish curry for the first time and was impressed with the cooking. My visitor was also very impressed.

I was expectant of a very good meal as the rating is high based on the reviews, I was disapointed. We ordered lamb korma, chicken tikka masala and another lamb dish (forgot what it's called), they were all too sweet to our palate and no spice at all despite indicating in the menu that it's medium heat.

I have mixed feelings on this place - we came along early on a Sunday evening and were seated along with several others, including people speaking the language of the proprieter - always a good sign. I stared with the momos - pork was not available - a bit of an ordering oversight considering that we were the first customers... More

Naturally Nepalese food is pretty similar to North Indian cuisine. However this nice little restaurant had some very nice spice blends in their dishes. Nice mouth feel, interesting depth to the masala. Service prompt and courteous. We'd go back if we were ever in Brecon again.

The food here was excellent. Well cooked and a slightly different twist to usual Indian restaurants. The staff were quietly attentive. Would highly recommend for an evening meal out. The restaurant is small and was busy on a Monday night so would recommend booking.

Would have loved to have tried this restaurant based on other reviews, but when we turned up on a Monday night, it was closed. Looked great from the outside!!

Quite simply lush!!! In a nut shell, we liked it so much we went twice in the space of three days. Service is a little slow and they are not the best organised, but the food is worth that small quirk, so I say don't miss this place
