Sunday Lunch

Friendly staff. Great Sunday lunch. Good real ale. Good value. Probably nicest beef that I've tasted - had to ask where it was sourced and sourced at local Brecon butchers. Would recommend to all.

The Tai'r Bull Country Inn & Restaurant was just down Route A470 from the Penrhos B&B where my first wife & I where staying at for a week back in June of 2000. The food & drinks where as great as the service. Staff told us about what we could see around this part of Southern Wales. I remember how... More

Visited on our way back from Cardiff having been to watch the Ashes. I rang before we arrived just to check that they were serving food and to ensure that we could be accommodated. It's a lovely country pub with a restaurant at one end and also an outside seating area. There was a good selection of drinks with 3... More

I went on my own for the evening - i was working close by and staying in a travelodge (not so cosy!), so wanted to go to a local pub. The food was delicious, the beer was yummy and the staff really friendly and helpful. I was a bit disappointed that the lamb on the menu wasn't even from wales... More

Staying nearby for the weekend we were recommended this pub for our Saturday night meal and we were not disappointed ! Nice friendly staff, small stylish restaurant and a cosy bar complemented the superb food we all thoroughly enjoyed. Well thought out menu to cater for all tastes and pockets, everything we had, right down to the garlic bread was... More

We popped down for a weekend in Wales and stayed at the Ta'ir Bull for a night. The pub is easy to find on a main road. We were shown up to our rooms which are above the bar - this can make the rooms a little noisy as the sound from the pub travels but not enough to be... More

Had a fantastic weekend with 3 friends walking Pen Y Fan staying at the magical Tai'r bull inn. Strongly recommend this to anyone planning a walk up to the hills. We stayed in the 'English Rose, Poppy & Sunflower' rooms and all three of left with the same opinion...Great rooms, great food, great people, great atmosphere. Recommend the fish and... More

Just passing through and decided to drop in and see if they were still serving. I received a very warm welcome at the Bar and was informed that I was just in time. So I ordered a drink and was shown to a table in the resturant by a very pleasant Young waitress. She told use what the meats were... More

A little gem of a pub and restraurant on the A470 in the little hamlet of Libanus,Brecon, Powis, Wales. If you are a tourist in the area and looking for a warm and friendly welcome, good food at the right price. This is the place. The only down side is the car park is a bit restricted on site.Parking on side roads... Impromptu decision to go out for Sunday Lunch, called about 11:00 and booked a table for 14:00, we have driven past the place many times and it has always appeared busy, and wondered what it would be like, so we were looking forward to enjoying the experience. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but we had no problems,... More
