Just enjoyed a nice Sunday lunch sitting in the sun enjoying lovely views. £11.95 for two courses, nice food, pleasant and speedy service and a nice pint too. Would stop for sustenance again when whizzing through on the A470.

We ate here after a morning hike up to Pen Y Fan and Corn Du, and we were rewarded with a lovely lunch with nice ale and cider. The lamb shank I ordered was beautifully tender and full of flavour and the chicken & bacon melt with smoked hickory bbq sauce was delicious. I would thoroughly recommend this pub for... More

Called in here on the way back from a day out. And I have to say it was absolutely lovely. We called late afternoon and the staff were only too happy to open the kitchen for us. I had the fish pie and it was gorgeous. It tasted home made and fresh and I was served extremely good portions and... More

We booked this place at short notice and Helen opened up for us on the only day the pub is closed, Monday. After a day walking on the hills we were very glad to receive a warm welcome, good food and excellent real ale in front of a lovely open fire. It's a nice old pub in a great location... More

Having just finished walking from the Storey Arms Outdoor Educational Centre along the Old Drovers path (around about 5miles in total) on a damp December day it was nice to find this pub which thankfully was open all day. There were 11 of us, plus a small dog who was welcome in the bar (not the restaurant area for obvious... More

Visited after walking up Pen y Fan. I had fish and chips followed by apple and rhubarb tart. Fish appeared to have gone straight from the freezer into the deep fat fryer and was unremarkable. On the plus side though chips were homemade. Tart was very small and tasted as though it had hung around for a few days. Service... More

On the way home we had attempted several places for food at 5.30pm and failed Just about to give up when we came across the Tai'r Bull and at last found room at the Inn. The service was excellent and the only problem with the menu was what to chose! Whilst I would highly recommend the fish Pie, a marvellous... More

We went to the Tairbull for a 40th wedding celebration. We booked 3 rooms which were all pleasantly decorated. The food was lovely And reasonably priced, the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is the noise during the night of the saniflow system, it woke me up a few times. Otherwise a great experience.
