We are located in a small village called 'Groesffordd' just off the A470 roughly 3 miles from Brecon (Abergavenny Road) in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. We have two beer gardens on the property with the rear beer garden secured by fencing so safe for little ones, also with a GIANT blackboard and Connect4 game.We are a dog friendly premises with our own entertaining dog 'Butler' who sings for sausages. Dogs are allowed in the front beer garden and bar area, but not in the restaurant. We have live music once a month and also a weekly steak nights (Thursday) and curry and quiz nights (Wednesday) fortnightly. An absolute gem!

We were recommended to visit The Three Horseshoes by the owners of the bed and breakfast we were staying at (Felin Glais). We were unable to get a table on the first evening we tried but rang the next day and they were able to fit us in - and we're so pleased they did! We had a friendly welcome... read more

We booked here because they allowed dogs in the bar area. We also had 3 kids with us. The food was very good, but the staff seemed a little distracted and were not overly friendly. Also, when we arrived the juke box was playing Rock music too loud for conversation - it just needed to be at s slightly lower... More

Stunning views from this traditional country pub. An easy walk from the nearby Caravan Club site. Great choice of ales and also a real cider, many of which are local. Good menu choices and food is of a very high standard, cooked to perfection. The puddings are fabulous, so save room.

We came here for an early dinner. It's advisable to book as the restaurant filled up quite quickly, and they were also booking a second sitting. The menu is simple but promises a lot, with lots of local produce. I had one of the specials which was a lovely cod dish. I am not a pudding eater but the rest... More

We visited here whilst staying at the nearby Caravan Club site, just a 15 minute walk away. Good selection of well-kept ales, and stunning views from the pub. Menu choices were good and descriptive and often locally sourced produce. The food was beautifully presented and there was plenty of it too. Try and save room for the amazing desserts; I... More

Sunday lunch today, third visit within a few months. Menu was straightforward, choice of starters, Mains all priced the same, about £14, Beef, Chicken, Lamb, or Hake. We had one of each and all were cooked perfectly and served with a huge variety of vegetables, some on the plate (Mash, Roasties, Parsnip, Pea shoots) and others served separately (Cauliflower cheese,... We were recommended to eat here by our guest house (Felin Glais) and we were so pleased we went. The pub itself was a local delight with a good choice in beer and wine and frequented by the local community. The food was exceptional with an imaginative select menu that is thankfully short enough to help choose among the great... More

After a previous visit for drinks at this GEM of pub/restaurant , during which time the restaurant was full to capacity, We decided that on our visit to Brecon Beacons caravan club site{excellent} this weekend [17th July2015] we would book a table for sunday lunch..The food was well presented and delicious, though first impression was that the portions were not... We were staying at the nearby caravan club site down the lane and came here the first evening to sus it out and as recommended by the wardens; booked Sunday lunch - they could only fit us in on the early sitting as so full. The roast beef my husband had was delicious as was my Welsh cheese pie as... More
