Tempting food, friendly pub

Yes this pub ticks all the boxes. The staff was welcoming and the choice of dishes on the menu was great. Something to suit all tastes. We ordered battered fish and chips, and the lamb. Both dishes were delicious. We managed to get a table, but it is recommended you reserve. The log fire is... read more

Visited this week, as we were passing Brecon. We were the only people in there, asked if the kitchen was still open and the chef opened it especially for us. The pub is decorated perfectly and has a sense of 'home' to it. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, the resident dog and cat. Food was top notch.... More

We popped into the Three Horseshoes as we were in the area and we'd read the good reviews on Trip Advisor. All I can say is that the reviews are spot on. The food is delicious. We both ordered the pork tenderloin which was wonderfully tender and cooked perfectly. The decor of the place is very welcoming as is the... More

We were a party of four and pre-booked our table for a Saturday evening sitting. Our table was ready when we arrived. The dining area has been recently refurbished and gave a cosy but modern feel with a touch of traditional atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly and staff were knowledgeable regarding the menu on offer. After ordering our meals... More

This pub cum restaurant has some of the finest food available. Not only that, in the public bar are some excellent local beers to be sampled and a reasonably priced wine list. The chef here has certainly given each dish his individual touch, for example a crab risotto with an avocado sorbet or a terrine with a savoury Welsh cake... More

We ate dinner here on Tuesday and the food was fantastic. Lots of nice touches, like the home-made bread and Marmite butter and little cornbread muffins that came before our starters. Well cooked fish, tasty sauces and lovely pink lamb. We were full, but the puddings looked really tempting and we weren't disappointed. You can eat really well with just... More

Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. The food was outstanding and all the staff were so friendly/welcoming ! It has just had a refurb and the restaurant is stunning. We finished dinner and sat by the wood burner which was wonderful. The owner was incredibly friendly and engaging with us both - we will both certainly visit again when next in... More
