We had pre-booked as it was Father's Day (evening) and this proved a good idea as it was very busy. Nevertheless waiting time wasn't long and the food and service were both very good.

This is one of the best places I have eaten at, their Sunday roasts are to die for and the evening meals and specials are amazing. They have a wonderful little beer gard en at the back with splendid views.

Extremely obliging staff, well presented hot food and absolutely delicious as well. Dog friendly in the well stocked bar. Good choice of ales, Otley ale was a good pint (or two)!. Immaculate toilets. Cannot find any fault whatsoever, thoroughly recommend.

Visited yesterday with two friends, we are ladies who lunch! It was my turn to book a restaurant and I found a wonderful pub restaurant in the Three Horse Shoes. The pub is in a little terrace of cottages with an extension on the side for the restaurant. There is a beer garden at the back of the pub and... More

Often you approach a 'gastro' pub with a degree of suspicion. The term is often bandied about applied very liberally and approaching the The Three Horseshoes through the an assuming village you start to fear the term is more marketing hype than culinary substance. But don't let the plain exterior deter you. This is indeed a pub worthy of the... More

The Three Horseshoes at Groesffordd, Brecon is a superb pub/restaurant in an unexpected area. The village is unassuming and the pub tucked up a side road with no parking attached. We did wonder what we were thinking in making a booking as we arrived, but found the most delightful pub and fantastic menu we could hope for, without the mammoth... More

This is an excellent gastro pub. We ate here on a Thursday evening and it was almost full so I would recommend making a reservation. I had smoked duck to start and it was beautifully presented such as you might find in one of the best haute cuisine restaurants. The presentation was only beaten by the outstanding taste. For main...
