We ate here again last night. Have always been impressed but last night the food, service, ambience was exceptional. We were a family party of 7. I had a starter from the specials board of king prawn and Cornish crab served in a crispy pancake basket. It was easily one of the best starters I have ever eaten!! My main... More

This has rapidly become one of our favourite restaurants, both locally and also ever. The place is unassuming as you come in and seems very much like a village local. There are a good range of varied and interesting ales on tap and the wine list, though not extensive or especially exciting, has some really great, well-priced wines. The restaurant... More

As rated by Tripadvisor contributors this seemed like a very good place to go for dinner during a week-end break to Brecon. Situated a couple of miles outside Brecon this unassuming looking Inn nestled between houses, hides the treat that is in store for it's diners. The lovely team of ladies that greeted and served us were friendly and efficient. We... More

On arrival we received a friendly welcome from the owner, and were shown to our table. The bar is very homely and lovely to see the owners dog laying costly by the bar. We were shown to our table were we ordered wine. It was steak night, and there were a good number of diners enjoying the steak deal. 2... More

Food was absolutely amazing and very reasonably priced. Atmosphere was lovely, woodburner in the corner with the owners dog on a bed in front of it. Staff were friendly and easy going, so easy going I wouldn't recommend this place if you were in a hurry but it is the perfect place to linger over great food with good company.

It didn't start well when I rang up to book a table for 2 and was told to ring back in 20 mins because she was a bit busy.... (!!) so I was keen to just turn up later that day. We turned up and we're asked if we had booked a table to then be told, well we will... More

I had Salmon on prawn pasta in a delicious sauce and my wife had Tenderloin of Pork. Beautifully presented and tasty. We love it and so do our 2 dogs lying by... More

I took my other half here as a birthday treat and the food was AMAZING! We had starters and mains, the curry risotto was particular highlight :-) The menu is fairly small but everything is incredibly well put together, sometimes the options sound a bit strange as combinations but somehow it all works. It was a friendly place, they allowed... More
