Friendly staff, great atmosphere and well-cooked food combine to make this restaurant attached to a village pub a real gold mine. The wine list is is not extensive but what we sampled was very good and reasonably priced. This is an excellent place to eat and well worth making a detour to enjoy. The only fault is that there is... More

After reading previous reviews of this restaurant, I was keen to visit, after a late decision to spend New Year's Eve in Brecon with my partner. I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the staff were in booking us a table on what was obviously a very busy night. We dined early (6pm) which was fine for us. On arriving,... More

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and well-cooked food combine to make this restaurant attached to a village pub a real find. Vegetarians, fish and meat eaters all catered for. Too full for pudding after the generous main course. Will definitely return.

...the charming pub dog was as warm and friendly as the excellent service in this village pub which boasts a brilliant restaurant. We dined on a cold wet December night in the plain but comfortable dining room and, despite the pressure that must have been placed on the kitchen by the happy birthday and office parties taking place that night,... We dined here because of the reviews but I did not expect such a very high standard in December in the depths of rural Wales. My first course of 'risotto cake', I think it was called was superlative and the sea bass, which my husband and I both had, was obviously very fresh and was beautifully cooked and presented. There... Well this place has to be the best food ever. Compliments to the chef. Taste and presentation absolutely outstanding. Staff and atmosphere really friendly. Spotlessly clean. Been there twice and will recommend this place to everyone, love it.

My husband and I went here for our pre-anniversary meal being on holiday in Wales. The quality of food, the service were very good standards. Portions were nice and big. Their homemade bread made me to come off the diet :)

We saw the good ratings this restaurant has had in Trip advisor and decided to give it a go for a small pre-Xmas family reunion in Brecon. The Trip advisor ratings are fully deserved! Service was very friendly and attentive, there was a good range of draught beers available and the food was excellent. We all had roast Sunday lunches... More

A group of 15 had the most wonderful evening here on 6th Dec. from the time we arrived we received a warm welcome. The lounge area was warm and comfortable and bar service was great. We were then taken to our table and the food was fantastic. After the meal we returned to the lounge and just relaxed. I have... More
