My sister and I met up with a number of our cousins for a pre Christmas lunch and it turned out very well. The restaurant is attractive and the staff welcoming. Drinks and food well priced. Choice from 3 starters, mains turkey, beef or veggie option and sweets [Eton mess top notch!]. Service by very friendly and helpful waitress spot... More

I have been coming to this pub for many years and although it offers good value for money of late it seems to be going downhill. I was very disappointed in the new menu which hardly seems to have changed at all. There was a time when they served Terryaki Salmon but not any more! It's more or less fish... More

We came here for lunch and they can't even get a sandwich and jacket potato right. Cutlery and condimentsIin boxes on the tables were grubby and dirty, not hygienic at all. Food was awful and service and attitude from staff terrible. Won't be back.

I have visited this pub for many years... It's great for a girlie get together and a glass of wine but lately food and service have been going down hill. The bar staff are depleted and the ones serving don't seen as though they are rushing to serve you.. Which is a shame ... If you book a table it... More

Visited twice this week. No soap in ladies. No soap in mens. Both visits. Told them on first visit but still empty. Have had to ask them in past on many occasions just to put soap in the toilets. Not too much to ask in a pub that serves food, imagine whats on the door handles that you HAVE to touch... More

Having visited today fir Sunday lunch I have to say it is the worst Sunday roast ever experienced! If you like frozen food then fine, nothing about this food was fresh, frozen potatoes, parsnips and veg and the amount of gravy wouldn't hhave covered the Yorkshire pudding, never again

While staying at Werxham for The Open I ate here a couple of times. The food was always good. The service was mixed, one time it would be good the next slow. This restaurant is very busy with the locals and as a result very noisy. Not a place to go if you want a casual quiet night out. Inside... More

Having been a regular here over the years we have had many meals here, never amazing but most tasty enough although not exactly home made! But last night we took our kids here to celebrate my eldest's birthday. From the less than accomodating service to the quality of the food, we have been here to eat for the last time.... More
