One of the best menus, excellent local produce, warm welcome. From local Conwy Mussels to Suckling pig from local farms, you won't find a better range of locally sourced ingredients anywhere. A fantastic warm welcome with an authentic Welsh feel, close to the centre of Betws. If you're looking... read more

We have been to Betws-y-Coed a number of times and always wanted to try Ty-Gwyn, on our last trip we did. The atmosphere in the resturant is very cosy and welcoming, with it's mismatched furniture and low ceilings. We were a group of 6 and we all enjoyed our meals, portions were quite large and the deserts were to die... More

We stayed in the B&B next door to the Ty-Gwyn so this was great walking distance for us. The place is lovely and cosy inside with a mismatch of furniture and chairs which gives it a real charm. The food was really very good and the staff were polite and helpful. The portions are quite large however so make sure... More

Ty Gwyn is situated on the outskirts of the gorgeous Snowdonian village of Betws-y-Coed and is one of my favourite pubs. We booked a meal here on a bustling Saturday night last march when staying in Betws. We managed to park on the roadside a couple of minutes walk from the pub, which was great. The meal was just gorgeous.... More

Had dinner here during a weekend break in the area. Based largely on previous TA reviews. We were not disappointed. A 3 course meal for 5 of us and not one dish in any course was anything less that exceptional. Excellent choice and a varied menu that should cover pretty much all tastes. Highly recommended (but book a table!).

During our week Xmas break in Snowdownia, my partner and I decided to visit Ty Gwyn for lunch on 28/12/12 (on the second last day of our stay), after having read all the great reviews. We arrived at about 1:00pm without a booking and were offered a nice table by a window. We loved the interior decorations, the service was... More

Booked in to this place for New Years Eve, based on the reviews on Tripadvisor; we were not disappointed! If you are ever in Betws-Y-Coed & need somewhere to eat, this is the place. Take the 5 minute walk out of town for top quality food at very reasonable prices. Service was good; we were made to feel very welcome.... More

We popped in without a reservation and were given the last table, the staff were lovely, friendly and nothing was too much trouble, we were served drinks at the table even though we sat in the bar, the food was out of this world, even though we all ordered from the bar menu. The meals were perfectly cooked, served with... More

A group of us were on a business trip in Betws y Coed, and, after a disappointing meal elsewhere on our first evening, we decided to walk (in the pouring rain!) out of town to the Ty Gwyn - thank God we did!! The welcome was genuinely friendly, the venue very interesting, the service was excellent, the menu was extremely... More

Look guys, there are a only a couple of negative reviews on this place and not one really has anything to say about the food, which is fantastics and great value for money, (recommend the duck starter if you are hungry btw). We went here for a cosy birthday celebration, and that is exactly what we got. It is an... More
