A proper old fashioned pub, with great beer. We walked across the beach to it..FAB. Food seemed a bit pricey, but seemed a bit pricey in nearby pubs too. Real ale..fab.

Food was ok, expected much better for the prices. I think the prices are for the location and atmosphere. Toilets upstairs but there is a disabled cubicle downstairs which is easier with kids. Staff were brilliant, couldn't do more to help us.

Visited with friends one evening. The staff are really friendly and helpful. With regard to the food, the starter was lovely, the fish we had as a main course was exceptionally good but let down buy poor chips and a bland selection of vegetables. The desserts were a disappointment. I will visit again, it is in a lovely place and perhaps... More

Lovely pub in a glorious setting. Young staff are friendly and enthusiastic but the food is expensive and of poor quality.

Fantastic location. Beautiful quaint oldy style pub with lots of history...... Experience ruined by awful low quality, expensive food. What a missed opportunity!! A gorgeous pub with a captive audience, fantastic staff and fabulous surroundings. Food was ridiculously expensive for what was delivered. My sisters steakwich sandwich was a piece of cheap leathery meat served in two pieces of dry... More

Was advised by a friend to give it a try recently when I visited friends who were holidaying on the island at Red Wharf bay. It was on a Friday lunch time when we found the place and called in for lunch. Big mistake....Fish chips and mushy peas for 4 with 2 pints and 2 glasses of wine came to... More

We could not decide whether to have crab or mussels so we had both! And were glad as the seafood was very fresh. The portions were quite large, the salad well dressed. The food was served promptly despite a large number of customers. My impression was that the pub is well run and well managed and the staff appeared to... More

Booked a table for 4 at Ship Inn having eaten there before. This time we were in the restaurant on a busy Saturday night. The restaurant is a more formal setting than the bar and a bit less hectic! It was were packed out in the bar and full upstairs in the restaurant too. The views are excellent as it... More

We have visited The Ship on and off for many years, and love the location. The landlord\ lady are in evidence and care about quality and service. Good food, well presented, pleasant staff, all good.
