The location of the pub is in a beautiful setting. It sits on the harbor which looks out across a beautiful bay. The pub itself is rather "quaint" although very outdated and a tad stuffy. The day we went it was hot afternoon. We ordered three soft drinks, two colas and a lime and soda. These were in small glasses.... More

An unremarkable pub in a lovely setting but what really caught my attention was all the signs telling you not to do things. I sort of accept the no parking unless you are a patron but surely the pub could come to an arrangement with the reataurant a few doors down. But no picnicing on the grass, no smoking by... More

This is a pub brimming with character in a beautiful setting. We ordered steak sandwiches on granary bread with salad and chips. We both thought the food was excellent and the staff who served us could not have been nicer.

Been going here for over twelve years and rarely had a bad meal. Went last week ordered the steak pie it was obviously tinned steak with a boring top of puff pastry. It could have been home braised with a nice homemade crust but it wasn't but the biggest crime was the chips. I have always liked their homemade chips... More

We went to The Ship Inn, located on the waters edge of Red Wharf Bay, as a family of 3 generations having been recommended the place. The pub is in a beautiful setting overlooking the bay. As it was a nice evening we sat out for drinks prior to dinner. The outside seating area is filthy, full of cigarette buts... More

Lovely location in a popular area. This pub come restaurant offers food and drink to the traveller. However they are at Anglesey prices which tend to be a bit on the high side compared to the mainland, but worthwhile if your just down for a weekend.

We have been using The Ship for a few years now. Unfortunately it has gone down hill over the last 12 months the staff are still really friendly but the food is dated and doesn't change week in week out. The chips are the worse we have ever eaten (they used to be great real home made chips) it says... More

Waiter, a young lad, became confrontational when he attempted to deliver us a meal we did not order. Mussels were terrible. The fish and chips were OK. Location looked lovely so we were expecting a nice experience, we didn't get it. We should have tried the Bistro just down the road, we hear it's good. Save your money and time.

Our large family group enjoyed a lovely meal in this pub. The food was very good and large portions to cap any appetite. The burger is huge and cover in rarebit sauce. All members of our party were served promptly. As I say we ate in the pub. You cannot go wrong here lunch or dinner. Book ahead in busy... More
