We had visited earlier in the week and were impressed with the service we received so decided to give it another go. On the first visit there were freshly cooked chestnuts available free on the bar, an excellent idea... More

Just got back from a weekend away; went to the ship inn on Saturday night for a celebratory meal for my birthday .... what a let down. The food was poor, the chips were grey, the salmon was dry. The peppercorn sauce that accompanied the steak was nothing more than gravy with a little pepper in it!! unfortunately, what you... More

We (better half and I) dropped in at the Ship Inn after a walk on the beach at Red Wharf Bay for a late lunch. A warm welcome from the staff, we chose our meals (steak / lasagne) and sat outside in the late November sun (yes, t-shirts in November) admiring the view and enjoying the delicious ale. Food arrived... More

I big disappointment. Doesn't really cater for dog owners unless you want to be stuffed into a dingy side room.

We have eaten here quite a few times over the last few years when we have visited Anglesey, usually over winter time. It has a great atmosphere with the fires burning, it is one of those places where once you have sat down you could stay a long while. There is an extensive menu and we have always found the... More

Having visited the Ship many years ago with our children we decided after a long walk to have tea here. Lovely clean surroundings and very busy, so busy we had to queue at the bar for some time. We managed to find a table for four without a reserved sign on it. We ordered our sandwiches and while waiting for... More

Food was excellent. Cooked to perfection. Service was the best we have ever had. Recommend you book as it can get busy.

We arrived, waited at bar for lady to finish chatting to someone. Asked for a table and got one. Went to bar to place order for eight people and were ignored, so left.
