Very disappointed with the main course. The starter was ok but nothing special. The main course was very expensive for what you got, the only thing i would say about it is the position of the Ship which is in a stunning setting. 12 of us visited the Ship for a light lunch, as you approach via a windy road the views are incredible, positioned right on the banks of the estuary the Ship is a good old fashioned pub, restaurant. We where so lucky that on a sunny warm March day we where able to sit outside to take in the views... More

Excellent mussels as a starter but I was so disappointed with my main course. The smoked mackerel which on the menu was described as 'lightly smoked' was very strong and extremely salty, more like kipper. The salad was no more than shredded iceberg lettuce with a garnish of tomato and cucumber, chips was a strange accompaniment. I wouldn't return although... More

We called in about two weeks ago and sampled their seafood chowder. It was excellent. We always feel welcome and know we shall not be let down by service or quality. It does, however, get very busy in season, so beware! This is how popular the Ship Inn is.

Enjoyed an hour here as we passed by on our hols. Beer prices advertised so you take it or leave it. Good pint and great location. We didn't eat, but menu looked nice. Met a great local whom shared pubs history. Would recommend popping in if your passing and like unusual pubs and a decent local ale.

On a day trip to Angelsey we were becoming rather hungry and after a short walk decided to pop in to the Ship. After looking at a god menu us two men decided on the haddock which was a fantastic choice. Beautifully prepared the portions were good value and kept us going in to the drive home to Staffordshire.nour wives... More

Really good food and very friendly staff. We had a lovely meal, not expensive and we were out of season which may help but thoroughly recommend.

Great Ale and great food. Bit too full of tourists for my liking. Dog friendly which is fine for anyone daft enough to like dogs in a foodie pub! Upstairs restaurant looked lovely. Food a bit pricey but good portions and nicely cooked. Reasonable value all round. Fabulous setting for a pub. Will definitely return

I will keep it simple. Nice pub, great location but..................Let down by very poor food in terms of quantity and quality. I ordered a king prawn Thai green Curry that came with a Nan bread and a portion of rice. I am nearly 50 years of age and I have eaten all sorts of food all over the world (including... More
