We stopped for a drink and lunch. The Ship was very busy but we found a table for two. Food very tasty and a good portion size. They have a huge menu to find something you may like. The pub had a nice feel to it and if we are back in the area we would revisit.

After being underwhelmed by several other eateries during our week's stay on the island my husband and I found the Ship Inn. We ate here on two consecutive evenings and really enjoyed the food, one of the highlights being the chocolate and beetroot cake I had to try because I'd never had it before - really excellent and not over... It must be 25 years since I last came here. I was staying this time with friends who had rented a cottage nearby. When I said I used to come to Anglesey in the 80's windsurfing and used to go to a pub at Red Wharf Bay they said "well let's go there". I then started to feel nervous as... More

Used to be a great pub-grub place, but now the pub-grub costs an arm and a leg...if you can get a table. Chaotic and understaffed during the holiday weekend.

We sat outside to enjoy the late afternoon sun and took in the view which was fantastic. We got our drinks from the bar which wasn't too busy and ordered our food at the same time. There was quite a good choice on the menu. I had Goats Cheese with salad to start and fishcakes for the main course which... More

We stopped by for lunch early on a hot autumn Saturday. The food came within minutes and hit the spot. The coronation chicken wrap filling tasted home-made and was delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient. The view was magnificent.

2 soft drinks cost £5-20 more than in most places, nice setting, but could get overcrowded on nice days.

Simple review - great location - traditional pub feel - overpriced drinks - service very average - food over priced and the whole experience let down by having too many covers in a small space on uncomfortable table and chairs. You'll get better value and be more comfortable in the boat house you pass to get to the Ship. Shame... More
