Graces Bistro is now closed and in its place is a very respectable Bengali and Indian restaurant and takeaway, named Saffron. Lovers of good Italian food in Holyhead are safe once again.

We took our friends because a previous visit had been reasonable. This time was a great mistake - and an embarrassment. Ran out of pizza dough before 8 in the evening! (then make some more, for Pete's sake!) Hadn't got any Italian beer (they later found some, only it was warm) Ran out of house red. It went from bad... More

A deserved 1 star. Run by kids with no idea. Limited menu. I ordered a Carbonara. It was inedible as it was full of undercooked onion. You have been warned.

Decided to visit as a treat for our son who'd finished his exams. There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids. We were a little worried after reading a couple of negative reviews but we needn't have been. The food was excellent and obviously freshly prepared. We had a bit of a wait but it was acceptable given... More

We were offered house red or white and our group had two bottles of house red. We did not ask for the price and the owner made no effort to inform us. Also there was no drinks price list. We were shocked to learn when the bill came that we were going to be charged £14 per bottle for fairly... More

We were looking for something other than "pub food". We found Grace's wandering around in the misty rain. It was clearly a newer restaurant by the looks inside, meaning not used a lot. Like other reviews on FB there was no wine/drink menu. However, the nice waitperson was more than happy to tell us our choices. The red house wine... More

We visited on 16th May, a Thursday, and the restaurant was very quiet. It doesn't really grab you from the outside (please note Grace - we walked past earlier and went back to find it when our hotelier suggested we try it). That said, we had struggled to find somewhere that did appeal in the town centre! They had no... More

We ate here one evening while we stayed in Holyhead on our way to Ireland. Holyhead is very thin on decent eating places so despite some other poor reviews we gave Graces a try. I played safe and ordered a pizza which was actually pretty good and tasty. My wife had a pasta dish which was smalll, very bland and... More

I went to Gracie's last night and was greeted as soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were seated immediately with our menus, wait dress offered us drinks and ordered a bottle of Italian red wine which tasted lovely, the food was delicious and you could taste it was freshly made, would defiantly recommend this restaurant to anyone ,... My husband and I decided to try Grace's Bistro this evening. We walked in and we're seated immediately, menu in hand. The menu is very limited, so didn't take us long to choose what we would eat - somewhat unimpressed so far but we hoped the food would be good. The employee came to take our drinks order - I... More
