We booked early prior to a show at Ucheldre, the place was fully booked for later. Good choice of meat/fish/veggie light meals (and main meals but we wanted something quick and simple). Excellent fresh dressed crab, also lamb-burger recommended. Would certainly go again for a pre show meal.

Lunch for five - all unanimous best meal we have had in Anglesey. (And to be honest we have not had a bad meal in two weeks) A warm and friendly welcome. Sea Bass, Hake, Lamb all faultless. The pulled pork taco starter was delicious and something a bit different. Gorgeous desserts definitely worth saving room for. Booking is a... More

Three of us came to Holyhead on a Railtour from Scotland. Our train was very late because of an incident on the line, so it was well past close down time in the afternoon. We weren't expecting to be able to get anything (and to be honest, Holyhead, isn't exactly a food mecca; most places were shut anyway). However, at... More

In Holyhead for one night before catching early ferry. This is the best place to eat for miles but is very small, about 10 tables, and not open every day so check and book before travelling. Ask for a table looking out to sea. We had chowder and fig/goats cheese parcels, both divine. Then their special sea bass followed by... More

We enjoyed a very nice Sunday lunch at this charming little bistro overlooking the harbour. The food was tasty and served up very quickly, despite the restaurant being very busy. Plenty of choice on the menu and a nice selection on the "specials" board. An added bonus is the small but, interesting, Maritime Museum next door. Well worth a visit.

We visited on Wednesday Lunchtime just before they were about to close. Very warm friendly reception, they cleaned a table by the window that had just been vacated & was easier for me to sit at with my crutches. We opted for the BLT sandwiches. which were excellent, lovely honey & mustard dressing over the side salad. The bacon was... More

We only visit Holyhead for a ferry to Ireland. Staying in a Travelodge in the dock area we went on TripAdvisor to find somewhere to eat. Booked (essential for evenings) and found this delightful small bistro on the marina with sea views and really good food. Wines were cheap, but none the worse for that. Friendly staff. very pleasant food,... More

We tried the Harbourfront Bistro based solely on it's No1 spot on here, and we were not 'blown away'. We had lunch on a gloriously sunny Saturday afternoon, after something of a job finding the place! StaNav took us to a point on the road but you can't actually see the place very well, if at all! The location is... More

We didn't realise that Holyhead had such a gem or we would have visited before. The bistro has a great outlook, both physically and mentally! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the pace of service was just right and unhurried, despite the fact that they were turning away people without bookings. The baked hake dish was excellent and... More

We stopped here for lunch on a very wet welsh day. Had lovely cheese and red onion melt with chips. Homemade chips would have been nicer. Puddings were nicely presented. Waitress was very friendly. View of the Barbour nice even on a grotty day.
