Great Stop for Lunch

Popped in after our visit to the museum next door. Service was good, prices reasonable and food tasty. We had a Creamy Garlic Mushrooms on toast (delish) Prawn Sandwich and a kids Chicken Nuggets (seem to recall the kids meals are all low in saturated fats and salt, but may have made this up... read more

The trouble with their menu was that I read the starters and wanted them all. But mine host was an accommodating soul who indulged my eccentricity by providing a mixed platter of starters in a way which made up a main course. My companions, more conventionally, stuck to the main courses and were equally delighted. Maybe, one day, I will... More

I recently moved away from home and used to eat here quite often, however on this particular stay on the beautiful island of Holyhead we decided to have Sunday lunch at this lovely hidden gem, and it was spectacular! Never been so flattered by a meals decor before or by its taste! Lush!!

Seeing the rave reviews on Trip Advisor and feeling adventurous, me and my partner decided to try out the Harbourfront Bistro during a nice day in Holyhead. The views are fantastic, with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were very friendly and took our order for a dressed crab and a rump steak. I've only ever tried crab pate and... More

We took a drive out to Holyhead and needed somewhere to go for a nice spot of lunch. We chose the Harbour Bistro because of the great Trip Advisor reviews, and they didn't let us down.  The Bistro is set on the seafront, about 500 yards from the marina and the shares a building with the old maritime museum. The... More

I went there with my wife and daughter for my birthday lunch as we'd heard good reports about it before. It didn't disappoint at all. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was superb. My wife and I had dressed crab which was served with chunky chips,... More

We have visited twice during our holiday and have experienced excellent food from the lunchtime menu which the whole family has enjoyed. Our children are coeliac and loved the gluten free choices it was a refreshing change to have a good choice. We all felt Andy and his team made us feel extremely welcome and we look forward to our... The Harbourfront Bistro shares a building with the Maritime Museum and we were lucky to find ourselves sitting at a table actually right in this quirky museum. Far more interesting than one might expect, there were some quirky tales on show. The food, apparently inspired by the owner's time in Bermuda, was fresh, delicious and generously portioned. Had the vegetarian... More

The Harbourfront perfectly uses the beautiful views that this side of the Island has to offer, the bistro is a cute little restaurant with a small amount of tables which adds to the charm (not too cramped but still enough people for a lively atmosphere). Family of 4 of us attended and all enjoyed their meals, at a reasonable price... More

We arrived on the ferry from Dublin on 30th July looking for a good meal. After a walk around the town we eventually found the Harbourfront Bistro, but sadly it was fully booked. The owners took pity on us, and said they could probably provide us with a table if we waited about 40 minutes. We bought a drink and... More
