Holyhead 's best kept secret

A lovely little bistro, the food was freshly cooked to order, very pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. I had not eaten here before myself but others in my party had been for lunch previously which was off the same standard. We all had steak cooked differently and all arrived at the table... read more

A lovely little bistro, the food was freshly cooked to order, very pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. The location is amazing, your choice of decking/ outdoor seating right on top of the harbour, really marvellous if the tide is in, or indoors in the snug and cosy interior. Excellent service, and very good food. My wife and daughter tried the excellent burger, quite upmarket, ample, very tasty, and with a good range of accompaniments. I had the... More

Apart from the Ferry traffic I expect Holyhead suffers a bit oif a down turn in the Winter months, so it was a real surprise on a visit a couple of weeks ago to find this little gem. Its situation would be undoubtedly best experienced in the Spring and Summer when advantage can be taken of the views over the... More

I was very impressed with this little bistro overlooking the waterfront in Holyhead. The view is beautiful day or night, the food is excellent and the service is second to none. I have visited the harbourfront bistro on numerous occasions and it has never failed to impress. The staff have been very friendly and welcoming every time without fail, the... More

Arrived to early for an evening meal, so we got a drink and sat outside to look at the view. The owner of the bistro brought us blankets, as there was a slight chill and offered to seat us as the first customers of the evening. Even though he was fully booked for the evening, the welcome we received was... More

This little Bistro is part of the Maritime Museum in Holyhead. A quaint place with only a few tables. There are tables outside but that depends on the weather. We went for lunch. A simple meal but well turned out and served quickly. Friendly staff and a perfect position with its view overlooking the harbour and Anglesey - remember Holyhead... More

Really enjoyed our meal here at Halloween lunch. Thoughtful, well prepared and designed, simple and well presented. Very high quality without being a full-blown restaurant experience. Superb location, right on Holyhead harbour. Excellent value. First class service. Exceptional gluten-free offering. I highly recommend this as a reason to go to Holyhead other than to catch a ferry to Dublin.

We were staying at a nearby B&B and this restaurant was recommended. Positioned on the shore in a converted boathouse, this quaint bistro is tucked away almost out of sight from the road. We were warmly welcomed and able to take a window seat looking out to sea at dusk. There's sufficiently varied items on the menu to satisfy most... More
