Another excellent meal at the Greyhound Vaults. So what? I had the lamb Sunday lunch again? It's the best Sunday Lunch I've ever had! We've also eaten there in the evening and that has been superb in terms of quality and a well thought out menu. We've also eaten in places around Abergavenny that do have linen, silver service, higher... More

We were recommended this place by another Abergavenny restaurateur whose restaurant was fully booked on the Saturday night we were looking for a meal. A friendly, good value restaurant. Informal room, good traditional food - non flashy. Decor non flashy too. verging on boring. Ideal local's restaurant.

We stopped for a quick lunch in between castles. The food was delicious and wonderfully presented. The soup was a good value. I felt the Chef was above the general demeanor of the restaurant. Ketchup and mint sauce went from one table to another- a big no no for me but I noticed a waitress do it as I was... More

Thank you for your review. I am pleased to see that you enjoyed the food on Mothering Sunday. Unfortunately our main waitress was ill that day and we had to call on acquaintances to help us out at very short notice. However I still appreciate that the staff working that day were representing our establishment. I appreciate your feed back... More

Returned to Abergavenny from Bristol to eat at our favourite restaurant and as always had a lovely welcome and beautifully cooked food.Excellent prices and loads to choose from though my partner always has Roy's delicious homemade soup! Well worth travelling 50 miles.
