Excellent food and service. The rack of Welsh lamb was incredible. It was delicious. Maybe the premises are a little tired looking but work is being done to update it. Very promising. Fabulous window view looking out across the river Usk and up the opposite valley.

Eaten here on numerous occasions and cannot fault the food. Not the cheapest in the area but you get what you pay for. Lovely views from the restaurant. Service seems to let this place down, little things like not being offered water for the table or not even having a check back to the table to make sure all is... More

My husband and I went for Sunday lunch. We hadn't booked but they had a table for us. The staff were pleasant but the atmosphere in the restaurant was not. They obviously had their regulars which was glaringly obvious! We had Vegetable soup to start which was ok. Then we had the Beef Brisket. Plenty of Beef, five rock hard... More

Went here for Sunday lunch had not booked so just arrived. First thing you notice is the food hygiene rating is 3. Staff were pleasant and we ordered a starter and a main course. 2 courses for £15.45. We ordered the country vegetable soup which came very quickly yet didn't taste of anything and looked more like carrot and coriander.... More

Had eaten here several times previously and always had a good meal. Friends were visiting and had booked here so made sense to have dinner there. Really good service, and the manager recognised us from a previous stay in September (big tick in my book that customers are remembered!!) had the premium Italian lager which was a really good pint!... Visited for Sunday Lunch along with my family. This included my four year old grandson who received excellent service. The food was really good and my wife and I will surely return. Unfortunately the decor does now need some updating.

Checked in at 2 and they kept the kitchen open for me to have some lunch after my drive to Wales. I ordered the chirizo and spinach pasta with mixed peppers and it was gorgeous! That evening I dined with them and had chicken with garlic mash and red cabbage which had orange and carraway in - it was one... More

We had two fairly average meals here a couple of years ago but noticed the management had changed so thought we'd give it another go as the view from the restaurant is superb. We were having lunch and picked from a menu that had been printed that day. We looked at the A la Carte menu which seemed to be... More

right, I recently came here knowing that I have heard lots about this place. The waiters came with the menu. All I can say is shocking, there was nothing on the menu for older siblings and younger ones to. The age range is 8 and 90 and fair play it was my Nans 90th and to our disappoint we had... More
