We expected the best and received it. Nothing was too much trouble in arranging the lunch in advance and we could not have had a warmer welcome. The meal and the ambience were just what we wanted for a relaxed celebration. Brilliant value and highest quality food we will remember for some time. Thanks to the Tebbutts.

Took some old friends for dinner last week and, as usual, we had an amazing time. They are Italian and very fussy about their restaurants, but we needn't have worried, Matt came up trumps as usual and they were thoroughly impressed. We had some of the home cured Dexter beef and plump, juicy olives with our drinks. A stand-out dish... More

An extremely cold unfriendly service from the lady serving my wife and I. The meal was of very poor standard value for the for the cost of the meal. We would not visit this restaurant again.

I have visited the Foxhunter on numerous occasions over the years and I have always had a fantastic meal. My last visit with my girlfriend was no exception. As my girlfriend is Vegan it is challenging to find somewhere to accommodate this but this wasn't a problem for the Foxhunter. She was given the choice of multiple dishes, not just... More

We have visited 4 times now over the last couple of months for Sunday lunch. Every time has been consistently good. A lovely choice menu, friendly staff and excellent food. Keep up the good work everyone at the Foxhunter, we look forward to seeing you again very soon x

Had a superb dinner on night of Sat 26th. Started with a creamy Courgette & Herb Soup. Main was Duck Breast, Spiced Aubergine, Onion & Tomato Salad, Yoghurt Dressing - really tender meat & complimented by amazing veg combinations. I finished with a smooth Panna Cotta served with Poached Strawberries. A couple of glasses of Matt's stunning Seville Orange Liqueur... More

We visited for Sunday Lunch a week ago. The reception was very friendly with smiling faces all around. The staff were very helpful & suggested a few wines that would go with our meal. We had the traditional Sunday fayre of roast beef. this was cooked to perfection. Not a cheap restaurant but excellent quality & as the saying goes... More

Watch Matt's shows on TV but hadn't visited The Foxhunter before. Lived up to expectations, food is simple and delicious, you can tell he uses all the best quality ingredients. The bread is amazing. We had white peach salad which was sublime, and the steak was the best I've tasted in a long time. Service is relaxed and fun, the... More
