Fabulous Food

I have not been here for 9 years and the transformation was amazing so light, airy and inviting. We went for Sunday lunch on Fathers Day, the restaurant was very accommodating adding additional people to the booking at the last minute. Roast Sirloin was tasteless, blindfolded it could've been any meat. FROZEN roast potatoes ( Aunt Bessie's on a £10 lunch really?) for what is supposed to be a high end Sunday Lunch it was poor. Desserts not much better, shop bought apple pie and chocolate pot which resembled and tasted like Nutella topped with cream and cocoa powder. Really disappointing!... More

First time at Foxhunter since change of ownership. Fantastic Sunday lunch. Beef Sirloin cooked pink, melting in the mouth. Asparagus starter full of flavour and refreshing lemon posset for pudding. Outstanding- deserves recognition.

Relax in luxury with a good pint of real ale or a nice glass of wine. A great restaurant with a top class menu . We had a lunch in the Fox hunter bar which was atmospheric. A good selection of bar meals available which changes monthly.

This was our 1st visit to the Foxhunter for many years, and what a pleasure it was! Gone is the so-called "celebrity chef/manager" and all the over-pricing that goes with it. Back to good, wholesome, well-cooked & pressented food to suit all tastes, together with 1st class service from well turned out and friendly, knowledgeable staff ( something that so... More

Booked an early evening table and unusually had 3 courses. Food was excellent and it's very good value for the quality, and in nice surroundings. Well worth a try of this restaurant in the small village of Nantyderry.

First visit ever to the Fox Hunter, had Sunday lunch, roast sirloin cooked to perfection as was my starter of asparagus and the crumble for dessert was exceptional, the veg was seasoned just right, in all a very enjoyable experience. The young waitressing staff were competent and friendly, quite refreshing compared to another establishment nearby with a TV chef that... More

Had a midweek farewell lunch for a colleague at the Foxhunter. Food was amazing, service was prompt and atmosphere leisurely. Will definitely be returning here for a special occasion. Well done!
