Had eaten here several times previously and always had a good meal. Friends were visiting and had booked here so made sense to have dinner there. Really good service, and the manager recognised us from a previous stay in September (big tick in my book that customers are remembered!!) had the premium Italian lager which was a really good pint!... Visited for Sunday Lunch along with my family. This included my four year old grandson who received excellent service. The food was really good and my wife and I will surely return. Unfortunately the decor does now need some updating.

Checked in at 2 and they kept the kitchen open for me to have some lunch after my drive to Wales. I ordered the chirizo and spinach pasta with mixed peppers and it was gorgeous! That evening I dined with them and had chicken with garlic mash and red cabbage which had orange and carraway in - it was one... More

We had two fairly average meals here a couple of years ago but noticed the management had changed so thought we'd give it another go as the view from the restaurant is superb. We were having lunch and picked from a menu that had been printed that day. We looked at the A la Carte menu which seemed to be... More

I recently visited the Llanwenarth Arms on a works christmas meal. We often visit at christmas. The food was of a high standard. All 3 courses were brilliant and I could fault the food. The staff were also very friendly and pleasant. The only thing which we found strange was that we were seated on two tables and not all... More

In 2003 I was recommended to LLanwenarth Hotel for lunch by Keith Price Garages. The food and service given was excellent. Consequently I have been there with either relatives or guests on numerous occasions every year since and never been let down by poor food or service. Until today 18-12-13. On my arrival with 2 guests at 1200 there were... More

I've been to this restaurant a few times over the past decade, as it's a family favourite, but with variable quality meals as a vegetarian. They must have a new chef though because this was the best vegetarian restaurant meal I've had in a long time (naturally, excluding Vegetopia Cafe, my own business!!) The veggie offering on the Sunday lunch... More

Excellent food and service! Great value too! Paid £35 for four drinks and two two course Sunday dinners (beef with giant Yorkshire puds followed by chocolate and croissant bread and butter pud!) absolutely delicious! Would 110% recommend!

Came here for lunch, fantastic location and great food and good value, well worth a visit to eat by the River Usk. Highly recommend.

It had been over a year since we had last visited the Llanwenarth Arms restaurant. It has a timelessness about it - but in a good sense. It is like visiting an old friend, comfortable and pleasant. The restaurant is lovely, with superb views through their large windows over the valley and to the hills beyond. The meals we had... More
