The Clytha arms is always our place of choice for our rare nights out. The Pub itself is homely and both rooms have a wood fire which makes it feel warm and cosy, the staff have always been brilliant, friendly and efficient. Even though the menu boasts some wonderful dishes, we always end up having the same thing and each... More

You know, the food, when it finally came, was quite good. They have some reputation for fish and we had a nice john dory with scallops, (£16.95) though my partner felt it was overcooked. So a good three stars for the food, but oh dear the wait. We were sat at a rather grubby table in the saloon bar and... More

The management here are loosing sight of what a customer is looking for at a restaurant. The prices are not low and this place sadly doesn't deserve the cost. All the staff, 2 of them, we're covering the 2 bars and the restaurant. It was not enough for a lunchtime, especially a bank holiday Saturday. We waited a long time... More

Stopped here as had children and dog. Lots of space outside with swings and seating so was a good choice for us. It's an odd set up as we asked for menu and was given a tapas menu which wasn't suitable as we had the children. Had to ask again for a lunchtime sandwich menu. Everything fairly overpriced for what... More

We had this place on the radar for a while now after a driving past and stopping for the odd drink on a few occasions. Sadly our experience of a pint did not translate to good food. The Clytha Arms is no doubt a great local pub full of character and scenes not found in even small villages where the... More

If you want to spend a day, evening or even a night in a beautiful location being made to feel like you shouldn't be there then this is the place for you. It is hard to imagine why a person with such an apparent dislike and intolerance of other human beings has chosen to run an establishment which revolves around... More

My wife and I went for an evening meal here in the recommendation of friends - who we later found had never eaten here but we're impressed by the 'award winning' title. What an astonishingly poor place. The food took a good while to serve but we assumed that was because it was being cooked from scratch. I ordered a... More

.... and you don't need to believe me - they have an award. Excellent choice of local and not so local beers and ciders. My Waite and I stopped of for a tapas lunch and it was lovely (olives/bread, mushroom bruschetta, piri prawns, calamari, whitebait).

Met with friends for a lunchtime drink. This pub is friendly, quaint and homely with great beer. It is well kept and the toilets are clean. Although we didn't eat here the food coming out of the kitchen looked excellent. Definately somewhere we will return to for a meal.
