One night in the B&B

Really enjoyed my stay here and the food was lovely. There are dogs running around, yes, but to say they were growling and barking is in my opinion probably a lie as they were all so friendly! Especially the dog that is obsessed with people playing darts... Honestly, the dogs wouldn't hurt a fly... read more

I dropped in here whilst staying away on business. The pub is traditional and has a good selection of Beers and Ales. The food portion was large and it was a typical pub plate of food, which was quite tasty. There are dogs roaming around, however they are friendly and tend to stay away. My issue with the pub was... We turned up in the car park but didn't get out of the car, because there was 4 dogs running around growling and barking, found out later they were the pubs dogs.

After a 25 minute wait to order even a drink I went to the bar to ask for some service. They took our order 5 minutes later. Many waiting staff had walked past us but ignored us repeatedly. Sunday lunch was ordered and after a reasonable wait our meat and undercooked Yorkshire puds arrived. 10 minutes passed and the veg... More

Quirky pub with very friendly dogs. We sat in the lovely garden overlooking the valley and the river Usk, pretty darn perfect so far! Lunch was the ,oat amazing Ploughmans. We asked not to have any goats cheese and blue cheese and they provided the most amazing selection of 4 or 5 local cheeses that were tasty, interesting and different!... More

A group of us car fanatics visited here on a nice evening, I ate and my partner didn't. Prices- quite high. I ordered the "Cajun spiced black bream with mango salsa" off the fish board. (Put in quote marks because that is exactly what was wrote on there.) As you can see above, the description is some what lacking...after waiting... More

We seat in the restaurant and it was very cosy. They did not rushed us or pester us for time. Lovley views from the outside. After the great service and food we went... More

A genuine old fashioned rural hostelry. The situation is truly rural with outdoor seating on lawns. The bar is rustic with a large selection of beers and ciders and bar games. It is host to local beer and cider festivals at Bank Holidays. The restaurant produces high quality food. Booking is essential - however the staff are recruited locally as... More
