5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2015 NEW

Went with friends for sunday lunch and found it excellent. The food, staff and value were, in my experience, amongst the best and I am not particularly impressed easily. We were taken by two very good friends who live in Abergavenny to the Crown Pub for Saturday lunch. It turned out to be a simply splendid experience. A "gastro pub" without all of the ghastly atmosphere that term usually brings to mind. Hidden away down a small country road it retained the atmosphere of a pub where you would... More

Had a delicious evening meal with my partner and parents. Deserves a rosette. Great atmosphere and service. Menu a little different from the norm - which is very refreshing

We have previously visited The Crown and had a fantastic meal. Due to having family to stay we telephoned to make a booking. This was all confirmed. On arriving to The Crown later that day we were told that the cleaner had taken the booking and we would not be able to have a meal. There was no apology. Very... More

Loved everything about it. Frome the moment we arrived we were treated as valued customers. The food was superb and the staff very knowlegable about the Menu. The interior was very clean and the decorating made you feel at home. I would definitely go back and mention this to all friends.
