This small cafe is very pleasant it serves excellent light lunches and coffee and cake. The staff are always pleasant. You are served freshly prepared food at reasonable prices. It would be better if one or two tables were removed, as it is a bit tight next to the table adjoining, But the food and setting makes up for the... More

I'd only ever heard good things about the Cwtch so decided to try it for myself, and I'm so glad that I did! A wide range of homemade cakes, all delicious (there were 4 of us so we sampled a range!). The owner is really friendly and welcoming and it's refreshing to see a man in charge of a cafe!... More

The Food is lovely especially the cakes and desserts, some of which are gluten free. The service is good and the atmosphere welcoming. The only thing i didlike is the seating, too many tables not enough room. It feels quite claustrophobic when you are elbow to elbow with a stranger. Otherwise it would be my regular choice of venue.

In Abergavenny for a meeting and needing a quick and tasty breakfast I headed for Cwtch Cafe. Small and friendly, located on the main street it was a good choice. Really good coffee was poured whilst I looked at the menu. Not the usual all day breakfast or giant fry up but a range of classic, light dishes. Though the... More

Fantastic cafe - homemade food and the cake is just delicious. Thoroughly recommend breakfast - the pancakes, bacon, scrambled egg and maple syrup is wonderful. A welcoming and vibrant cafe - worth visiting for the coffee and walnut cake alone...

Friends and I taken to meeting in Abergavenny just to go here. The home made gluten free cakes (yep, plural) are to die for. Lovely feel to this place and very personalised service despite being very popular. I wish there were more places like this and fewer of the ubiquitous chains.

We were very lucky to get a seat in the window as we could see that the café was full and there was an endless stream of people trying to get a seat. We're glad we did! Really good homemade parsnip soup with granary bread and my friend had poached egg. I wish I had enough room to try the... More
