Cwch is Welsh for cuddle and you get a real cuddle in this lovely little cafe! The welcome is warm and friendly and the display of large cakes etc is truly amazing, there is a good and varied selection of snacks, soups, paninis etc and the leek and potato soup was delicious. There is a real buzz in the atmosphere and the decor slightly... It is a nice little cosy place to have a coffee but i don't think it should be so high up on tripadvisor, there are other better places in town!

On a recent visit to Abergavenny I visited the Cwtch Cafe with my mum and 19 month old. The coffee and hot chocolate were lovely. It's very rare to get a non burnt latte! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Just a warning for people with babies. I couldn't see any available high chairs and there were no changing... More

Popped in here for a quick bite and it turned out to be a very long wait.... Staff apologetic but for a couple of toasties and couple of drinks the wait was just too long!! Selection of gluten free products for the friend with us was non exists ant too!

This is a great little café with plenty of character. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and makes the cakes himself, which are very tasty indeed, with generous portions. I particularly enjoyed the cheese cake as it's hard to find it made in a traditional way as it is here, rather than the modern trend for creamy goo for... More

I have been there in a wet friday lunch! The food was ok but i was expecting more from the n.5 in the tripadvisor ranking. This place, as many of the coffee shop in abergavenny, should be in a different category because can not be compared to restaurants!

... the toastie was nice. Walking it the cafe was busy and looked clean and tidy. Given the name Cwtsh cafe I expected to see some Welsh around, but there was nothing other than the name. It would have been nice to see if the had locally sourced produce which would have been more than enough. Service was slow but... More

Having been recommended the Cwtch cafe by my father-in-law, my wife and I decided to pop in for lunch having strolled around Abergavenny. Whilst the cafe doesn't take cards, there is a bank about 3 doors down. The cafe was fairly full, but we managed to get a seat, which incidentally looked into the kitchen. The cafe was clean, without... More
