WOW, what can I say. We came across this cafe when we were wandering around the town and decided it was afternoon tea time. Best decision ever !! A warm and cosy little coffee shop/ cafe. The cakes look awesome, and their food is very good. There are a lot of tables a bit too close together so when the cafe is busy it can feel quite claustrophobic. and there is little privacy at this time.

It is a nice little cosy place to have a coffee but i don't think it should be so high up on tripadvisor, there are other better places in town!

On a recent visit to Abergavenny I visited the Cwtch Cafe with my mum and 19 month old. The coffee and hot chocolate were lovely. It's very rare to get a non burnt latte! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Just a warning for people with babies. I couldn't see any available high chairs and there were no changing... More

Popped in here for a quick bite and it turned out to be a very long wait.... Staff apologetic but for a couple of toasties and couple of drinks the wait was just too long!! Selection of gluten free products for the friend with us was non exists ant too!

This is a great little café with plenty of character. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and makes the cakes himself, which are very tasty indeed, with generous portions. I particularly enjoyed the cheese cake as it's hard to find it made in a traditional way as it is here, rather than the modern trend for creamy goo for... More
