We sought out this fish & chip shop based on the reviews on trip advisor & we were glad we did. The food is cooked to order so there was a wait, but the fish & chips were excellent and well presented. We would certainly eat here again.

Having worked in fish and chip shop as lad, I do appreciate a good fish and chips. :) All the fish was cooked to order, so you will have to wait - the locals have it sussed, as they come in and order and say they'll be back in 20 minutes. Have patience and you will be rewarded with a... More

Staying at local Premier Inn & had booked a table at the Table Table Yr Harbwr pub next door. Turned up at pub only to be told they were short staffed and kitchen couldn't cope. Wasn't that busy but a common problem it seems. So this takeaway was down the road & we carried them back to eat at habourside.... More

With fresh ingredients so close to the doorstep you would hope a 'traditional' fish and chip shop to stick to using the staple ingredients of the big pond nearby. However, when ordering we were informed that the fish was indeed frozen and pre-battered, which was disappointing given how close the takeaway was to the Welsh coast. However, the food we... More

Dear sir I Promise you that Ainsworth's have never use pre battered fish (WE ACTUALLY COAT THE FISH IN BATTER BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES) But we do use Cod, Haddock and Plaice which are caught from the cold clean and sustainable fishing grounds off Iceland, the Faroe Isles and the Barents Sea and are very proud of this. We have... More

I live relatively locally but don't eat out much, so hadn't been here before. The family were over so we decided to go here for a nice evening meal. The first thing noticeable was the cleanliness and high standard the staff kept the shop in, with a lovely friendly atmosphere and charming staff. We ordered our food and had a... More

I ordered a "mini-order" of fish and chips with a beef mincemeat pie. The portions were bigger than mini and the total price was £5.50! Would recommend if you are looking for good fast food.
