Having been here several times to eat in the last 12 months, each time it has always been very good. Cooked by Andy, the chef, I have never had any cause for complaint. It is also has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Well done!

There's nothing obviously wrong with this pub (floor and tables are a hit sticky) with a pleasant welcome and location. We had simple sausage and onion baguettes with chips and a small side-salad. For just over four pounds it represented good value-for-money for very average quality food. Main courses may well offer better food.yy

After my Mum had been to The Lord Nelson with my Dad and given her opinion on the food and atmosphere I decided to take my girlfriend there for her birthday. Mum had said that the food was real home cooked food nothing fancy and I knew my girlfriend would prefer that to a 5 star restaurant. She ordered the... More
