Having spent a week in the area it was great to find a nice place with great service and a lovely fresh fish and chips!! Lovely service and a great price :) thanks

The white Lion is a local friendly family pub and has lovely homely cooked food. We had sunday lunch there and had generous portions of meat and vegedables. The food was delicious, all home cooked, no frozen rubbish. It was very tasty and the staff were very helpful and accomodating. I am looking forward to eating there again next tme... More

we were out shopping and were looking for a local public house to stop for lunch. the white lion inn is situatuted near the middle of the highstreet. The pub was filled with friendly locals and the bartender was a lovely young lady. we ordered food at the bar, and i had my daughters meal for free as i ordered... More

We were looking for a Sunday Lunch on the High Street on an afternoon. We found a few places had stopped serving, but the White Lion still had lunches available till 4pm which was useful.
