Lovely food but had to eat in my coat !

We visited without booking on a Saturday. The ambience was nice with tea lights and candles downstairs and an open fire on one side. The restaurant was mainly upstairs - and was full. We have eaten at the Tyn lots of times, but this last time was not great, the staff are always great, when our food arrived the plates were cold,so the food was not that hot, I really am not a complainer at restaurants or hotels, so said nothing, I was not the only one saying this. The upstairs was cold and... More

The staff are rude, the food awful (fed it to my dog!) and in typical small village town Wales, they seem to think they're doing the customer a favour. Go to Pier Brasserie instead.

Resurant very cold, food very disappointing, especially after reading rave reviews. Also signage outside displays 'worlds smallest commercial brewery', but apparently the brewer retired two years ago.

Recently visited for the first time with for my elderly mother's birthday lunch. Lovely welcome from the staff and a warm fire on a cold day.Delicious mulled wine was an unexpected treat. Excellent service and good food. We loved the crab thermidor special. If anyone is needing disabled access the staff were as helpful as possible given the difficulties of... More

We were staying at a nearby B & B and the Tynllidiart Arms was recommended by our host. The staff were very welcoming and there was a lovely atmosphere with a roaring log fire. The upstairs restaurant was smart yet comfortable. The food was excellent so much so that we returned the following night for 'steak night' beautifully cooked steak... More

Having visited The Tynllidiat Arms before, we were driving through the area and decided to stop again. We were disappointed. As always service was excellent. Food quality was brilliant and atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. We will always stop here on our way through the area!

We visited this restaurant after a recommendation by a family friend, we travelled up from South Wales and we're certainly not disappointed,From the moment we walked through the door we felt very welcomed. The staff are very polite and attentive and the manageress Rebecca was lovely. We ordered drinks at the bar and were taken to our table immediately. The... More

Myself and my partner managed to get a table last Saturday evening after a cancellation. This was our first visit here as we are quite new to the area after recently buying a holiday home nearby. On arrival we were greeted by the manager who served us with our drinks. We then found a seat by the fire while we... More
