If I could rate this as 'Good' I would, as it is Trip Advisor's scale only allows 'Average' or 'Very Good'. Since Y Farmer's isn't 'Very Good' it's got an 'Average' from me. We ate Mussels (tasty but some were a little gritty), Cumberland sausage (apparently very tasty), Sea Bass (perfectly cooked, with a creamy cockle sauce (old fashioned in... More

Saw this recommended by others that had used the cottage we stayed at. It was a good meal and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was good and all 10 of us really enjoyed the meal!

Another Sunday lunch in the Aberystwyth vicinity. This pub situated in a tiny village surrounded by steep roads is almost too refurbished for its rural setting. Food wise the roast beef was nice though a little overdone for my liking and the trimmings were a bit lacklustre. The chocolate brownie was delicious as was its accompanying ice cream.

We booked here for dinner on my birthday. We had read great reviews and I liked the look of the menu online. The menu had changed when we arrived and though we were a little disappointed that some of the options weren't available there was still plenty of tasty options available. I had the veggie burger which was leek, chestnut... More

Y Ffarmers is well worth the drive to reach it, in its remote setting. That setting is Welsh country farmhouse. The service is cheerful, warm, family style. And the food is imaginative and wonderful. A copy of their impressive menu is on their website, and even the apparently familiar dishes are definitely out of the ordinary. It was cold outside... More

On the spur of a Saturday moment, I persuaded my wife to go to Y Ffarmers two years on from our last visit to Rhodri and Esther's fantastically well kept and very welcoming pub. Though our lunchtime visit was quite in trade terms due to it being the second day of the new year, the welcome, comfort and great quality... More

Highly recommend Y Ffarmers, our meal was brilliant and we thought it was very reasonably priced; 4 Starters, 4 Mains, 3 Desserts, 4 Soft Drinks, 2 IPA beers = £110. For starters 2 of us had Roast Beetroot Risotto with Welsh Ffetys Cheese (£5.50) it was perfect, the chunks of beetroot were sweet and the cheese addition added a perfect... More
