Good welcome. We ordered a beautiful lamb tagine. Once served with the meal no one enquired as to whether everything was satisfactory. For dessert I ordered a lime posset with ginger biscuit and ginger icecream (according to the menu the ginger icecream should have been an interesting sounding gin and tonic sorbet which would have created a lovely contrast to... We were looking for a place to eat around Aberystwyth whilst sitting in a busy soul-less chain pub and this one popped up on Tripadvisor. So a quick call to book the table and we were on our way. Arrived to find a lovely pub in a tiny village down some roads with grass growing in the middle. Ordered our... More

My disclaimer for this pub is that my wife and I use it regularly as it is one of our favourites in the area. We tend to go here to celebrate anniversaries and when we are taking guests out as the menu is always interesting and superbly cooked in a great atmosphere. The village of Llanfihangel y Creuddyn is a... More

This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. Proper traditional pub food with the best local ingredients and great real ales, all served with a lovely welcome.

Second visit and absolutely excellent again. Starters and puds are great but Roast is just like the best home cooking. This not damning with faint praise. Everything is fresh and beautifully cooked

I can only reiterate everything that has been said. Gorgeous little pub, lovely food, and Esther Jane is a very helpful, friendly lady. We stopped for lunch on a beautiful day after a three hour drive. We were asked if we would like to sit outside, we could have been anywhere the views were lovely, and it was so peaceful.... More

The pub and restaurant are run and managed by a great couple Rhodri a Esther. The place was completely refurbished three years ago. The menu is exciting and the food is served to perfection. Choice of good ales. Always an enjoyable meal with a vast range of tasty local produce complemented with more exotic veg. The quaint village location adds... More

The minute you walk into this cosy pub, you feel the warmth and friendliness. The staff were lovely and the food was really delicious - you could tell it had been made by someone who cared about the meal they were making. As vegetarians we often get offered something that has had little thought or effort put into it, but... More

I have eaten Sunday roast at this lovely and quaint country pub several times and every time totally satisfied. Today, yet again, the starter, main and desert were truly lovely. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and the log fire a blessing coming in from the bitter cold. Tucked away among the hills it's well worth the effort to... More

This is a lovely place to eat a delicious meal in the country just a few miles from Aber, preferably after an appetizing walk in the hills, so you don't feel bad about indulging...not that I would... The Chef combines mostly locally sourced produce, so very good quality, with more exotic ingredients, the result is great tasty food. Both the mains... More
