Took my wife to this restaurant to celebrate 39yrs of marriage, wish I hadn't. Food was less than average with frozen prawns served as Gambas in Garlic, for me, wife had sautéed potatoes with eggs as starter, potatoes looked and tasted as if warmed over. Mains were not much better with pork fillets for me that had been reheated and... More

Went there with a party of 6 for a birthday meal and everything was excellent. The sangria was good and the variety and quality of dishes met everyone's tastes. The service was good and we never felt hurried. My advice would be to book in advance, as it's only got about 20 seats and it was pretty full. The only... More

Having never eaten Tapas we weren't sure what we were doing. However, we had the most helpful and friendly waitress in the world. Ever - from Yorkshire. Always a good sign. Thankfully, the quality of the food matched the quality of the service. Slightly pricey but worth it. The food was exceptional. Highly recommended.

Three nights in Aberystwyth. First night, fully booked (always a good sign). Second night, chef ill so could not feed anyone (not as good a sign). Third night - in. Worth waiting for. Good tapas, a few different dishes, good friendly service and a nice ambience.

Visited with friends, service attentive and friendly, food excellent, and reasonably priced! Quite small but we got a table easily on a weekday. Worth a visit

Slightly chaotic when we arrived as there had been a mysterious kitchen problem. However, the meal was wonderful. Excellent tapas especially the sardines, mushrooms in garlic and the meatballs. Very good value with bottle of wine, mixed platter starter and five tapas for £40 for two.

We spent the day in Aberystwyth and ate at La Taberna early evening. It has the atmosphere of many a traditional restaurant in Spain. Service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. Food was really nice and very good value. We had plato mixto to start, a selection of chorizo, salchicon, serrano ham, ewe's milk cheese, olives etc - all nice... More
