We went there for lunch and had a really good choice of home made food. Nothing seemed to be from the mass produced frozen dishes found so often. Service was fast and very polite. The puddings are to die for, I can still taste the gorgeous squishy raspberry meringue! Will be back.

I regularly visit the Carlton with family for an easy and delicious lunch. The food is always freshly prepared and the service is of a good standard. Not only this, but the prices are also very reasonable for the portion sizes of the meals. It is a great little restaurant, I would recommend this to further friends and family.

The Carlton offers great , inexpensive but a varied menu in the town if Aberystwyth. Spotlessly clean, good service, inexpensive menu and ample helpings. Meals served freshly made with a menu to cater to all tastes, even sandwiches etc served with side dressings carefully displayed. Stairs can be a problem for elderly or infirm, but a great place to eat... More

This place is nice for a spot of lunch. It is always very busy but service is quite fast. They do lovely breakfasts and offer gluten free which for me is a bonus. Nice place but not the best place in town for lunch

Lovely, welcoming staff with proper home made dishes. My better half ordered beef lasagne and I had cottage pie. Both were tasty and you could tell they were not out the freezer, but wholesome and fresh. Now I'm fussy with garden peas and that is usually what gets left on my plate, but they were tasty. Paid around £15 between... More
