Cuisines: Moroccan
Dining options: Dinner, Reservations, Late Night
Description: Le Casablanca has great, homemade fresh mediterranean cuisine which has never disappointed us in the years we have had meals there. We have have lovely, tasty, and unfussy North African couscous there, as well as Tagines, lovely vegetarian meals as well. You can bring your own wine, so this also makes the evening quite reasonably priced. Jo, the owner and chef, is always attentive to details and makes sure you are happy and having a good time. This personal touch adds to the homely, relaxed atmosphere which has made us go back again and again over the years. You'll eat very well, you'll be welcome, and you will feel that you've had a relaxing time with friendly people around you! Highly recommended.

I'm really surprised by the number of glowing reviews here. I've been here several times over the years and the food has been consistently the same - the meat has been really nice, but the accompaniments are usually very basic, particularly the salad that looks like it's come from a bag. I always feel disappointed when a restaurant produces something... More

This little Gem of a Moroccan diner is well recommended. It is hidden slightly off the beaten track in the town, but is well worth tracking down. Booking in advance recommended. The fantastic décor is all hand painted which gives the impression that you have just landed in the Med itself. On closer inspection of the paintings also on the... More

Great food well presented, staff excellent. Lovely ambience, baileys tirumasu to die for. Veggie tagine is exceptional, only criticism is that it is the only veggie main course option, plenty of veggie starters.

I do wish there was more of a selection from Joe, but as ever what we all chose we were very happy with :)

Such a lovely place too have food. We went there for My sister in law's 18th birthday in June and again in august for my father in laws birthday, was beautiful! The food there is just perfect, and Joe is lovely, so down to earth (even made chips for me as i'm a fussy bugger) would deffinatly recommend it too... More

This was my second meal here, this time with a group of friends. It was a Tuesday evening and it was full so definitely book. It is a smallish menu of excellent food. I had the lamb tagine and it was seriously melt in the mouth. All 4 of us had excellent food and have agreed that we'll be back... More

We stumbled across this delightful restaurant late on a Saturday night whilst taking a spontaneous trip to Aberystwyth. It was the quirky exterior which grabbed me and on peering inside I just knew we had to go in! We speedily rushed around the corner to pick up a bottle of wine and we fortunate enough to bag the window table.... More

It was my husbands birthday on 1st September and we decided to go out for a meal in Aber, as my son and his girlfriend live there. Recommended were two Indian Restaurants, so I made the decision to go onto Trip Advisor to look at reviews and found this little gem. Joe was wonderful, I had rang up earlier and... More

We were looking for a bite to eat on the last night of our long Bank Holiday weekend in Aberystwyth. We decided to go for something other than fish and chips and decided to opt for Moroccan. We were definitely not disappointed. It was just a shame it was not a little bit busier, although it WAS Bank Holiday Monday... More

Well, Sam wasn't there to "play it again" but Joe the genial host and chef certainly made our evening at Casablanca as memorable as the film! Tripadvisor reviews brought us to this restaurant and what a gem. Excellent humous and grilled mediterranean vegetables kicked off the evening and lamb, fish and meatball tajine scored the winning goals. Time may have... More
