Looking for somewhere to eat and everywhere in the town was either empty or very quiet. We came across gannets and it was busy so decided to give it a try and glad we did. Genuine family run restaurant in original surroundings offering good honest home cooked food. I would recommend the lamb shank. Both the proprietors made you feel... More

I've been coming to this place for lunch every week now since last January (excusing the odd week here and there and the holidays of course). One might call that excessive but Gannet's really is that great! If you're looking for michelin star quality food then this probably isn't your place, Gannet's does good wholesome food, the sort of food... More

The food here was very good, quite old fashioned british restaurant food. You get a jug of water straight away without having to ask. It was very busy but the service was very friendly and we werent rushed. Would go back.

Dilys, Gwen and Dave never fail to offer the warmest welcome and tastiest home cooked dinner in town. Long standing family run business offering quality meals prepared from the finest Cardiganshire ingredients, always with a smile. Da iawn. A little gem near the markrt. You certainly will never leave feeling hungry.

This was our second visit to this lovely little restaurant. A group of 4 travelled from Lancashire and I did ring the week before to make sure we could have a table as I know it gets busy. Myself and my husband have been before and we wanted to take our friends. Everything was perfect. Food is lovely and home... More

Well hidden but worth seeking out! The owners/chef/hosts were welcoming, friendly and made us feel at home. The food was excellent, reasonably priced and they had a good selection of drinks. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Aberystwyth.

Been here several times and the food is always of high quality. Dave and Dilys genuinely care that you've made the right food choice and that you've enjoyed your meal. I highly recommend it and would label it as one of the best in aberystwyth.

This is a small restaurant, only seating about 40 and as it is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday it is advisable to book. Very good menu. I had the liver and bacon which was delicious. The portions are very generous and it was the same with the vegetables. It's no frills. What you see is what you get but... More

Me and my boyfriend had a great time here. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. It is such a sweet location, which is really tradition inside. The choice of food is varied with brilliant vegetarian options. Highly recommended to all people, families, couples and friends.
