This is an excellent restaurant un a fantastic location. We booked the table to celebrate our daughters graduation and it was an excellent choice. I had the lamb and my other half the lobster. The food was well presented and of a quality that carried the price. The only downside were being encouraged to vacate the table for the next... More

Called here for lunch on two occasions over three weeks. Both times we had excellent service and food. The only problem we found was the cramped seating conditions indoors as the restaurant is small but fortunately the weather was so good that eating outside was not a problem. The restaurant is obviously popular with locals and visitors and booking is... More

The place is fandabbidosie. The rooms are superb the hotel immaculate the staff fantastic, the management incredulous. The restaurant was a mix of emotions. The first night we ate very close to last orders and the meals were a mixed bag. The salmon was great and the lamb was a let down. It had an extremely tasty crumb however the fat... More

We were incredibly lucky to get an outdoor table on a sunny Friday evening to enjoy the sea view and the setting sun! As usual, faultless food, flawless service, a great bilingual music track. There was something special about the mash that came with my veggie pie. The crab, duck, lamb and steak were also highly recommended. Croeso Cymreig cynnes.... More

We’ve been eating at Gwesty Cymru on our annual weekends in Aberystwyth since they opened. 7 of us graduated from the university 11 years ago and one of the things that keeps us returning year after year of this brilliant restaurant. The food is exceptional and everybody is consistently thrilled with their meal. On Sunday I had a delicious mushroom... More

We visited this restaurant on the back of reading TA reviews. We had an overpriced mediocre meal, with poor service. We arrived, had a drink outside, had our order taken. All lovely so far, with a very friendly waitress. We were taken in to our table when our starters were ready. My husband had kidneys, usually a favourite. But these... More

We were staying in the Gwesty Cymru on Saturday night, and decided to book in for lunch, when we booked the room back in January. We had the 2 course meal, and sadly didn't have enough room for pudding. The starters were lovely, we had marinated chicken strips and welsh rarebit. We had beef and chicken for main course. The beef... More
