Nice food, well presented in a friendly pub

It's some years since we last went to the Druid. We live just quarter of a mile away but the dangerous section of the A44 and the steepness of our hill has been a deterrent to walking there. However, today, a friend invited us to lunch there and we drove down; one of us staying on lemonade. The... read more

The Druid Inn in Goginan is a truly magnificent hostelry. Lewis and his team have won several awards for their first class real ales and the home-made cuisine is second to none. There is also a very comfortable B&B next door which is run by the owner, John. In these days of "canned" distractions such as TV, it is refreshing... More

This is a traditional village pub which has deservedly earned a good name locally for its cuisine. I was there with family members on Sunday - being Sul y Mamau ( Mothers' Sunday), and the meal was delicious, and served without unwarranted delay; the topside of beef was, I understand, locally sourced, and very tender.

A great pub. The food is excellent, freshly cooked, local and very well presented, but at a reasonable price. This pub also has great local character and always has a good range of beers. This is what pubs should be like

I am at best a miserable human being, and it is not very often I wax lyrical about something, but I can honestly say, hand on heart, the food I had here was the best I have ever had, and I will be returning at any possible opportunity. The beer was wonderful too, and it was all so inexpensive, I... More

My wife me and Tilly our labradoodle dog booked a meal having read reviews on here. We turned up on time and were given a warm welcome. We soon got talking to the other guests and diners, Tilly was in her element as there was another dog present. They played harmlessly and no one minded. The food was extremely well... More

The food is excellent, especially the Sunday roast with beef that melts in your mouth, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Visitors to my holiday cottage nearby always praise the service and never have any comnplaints. It's a local pub that I don't hesitate to recommend. It's won the Pub of the Year by 'Real Ale' yet again. The views... More

We've only ever had the Sunday roast lunch at the Druid, so I can't speak for the rest of the week, but once again the quality and quantity was excellent. Unable to choose between pork, lamb and beef I was offered all three, so I got a selection of appropriate home made sauces to accompany each one. The meals came... More

Called by for lunch on a Saturday. The food was fine; nothing special, but nicely presented and freshly cooked. Main courses, in particular, were farily priced. Even though there were only 2 other tables occupied in the bar, we were warned there would be a long wait, and had the distinct impression that the staff would rather we didn't place... More
