Interesting challenges for this restaurant in that it has time constraints due to the theatre productions. A good menu catering for most and friendly staff if a little difficult to catch at times. The food was 'ok', definitely would not complain about it but it did not deliver on the promise of the menu. Great facility though as you have... More

We had a pre-show meal and were a little concerned at times that despite being seated at 6pm the food wouldn't arrive in time. But we were wrong, I guess they know better than us! I didn't finish my cheese and they offerred to keep it back to enjoy in the interval with our pre-ordered drinks.

Table was booked for four at 6.00pm., unfortunately two arrived a little late! However, we had two courses and wine before going in to the theatre and returned to our table at the interval for desserts and drinks. We have visited the restaurant/bistro here over a number of years and seen quite a few changes. The food on this last... More

A lovely lunch, served with perfect timing by the courteous staff. A really nice touch to be able to come back in the interval for desert.

Four of us had reserved a table for 1745 thinking it would give us plenty of time to make the performance at 1930. We arrived 10 minutes early, to be told by an affable waiter that although we could be admitted to the premises we would have to wait to order, to avoid compromising The Chef's timetable. So we had... More

I can see why this has mixed reviews We were a party of 5 for Sunday lunch in a relatively empty restaurant It was warm and the ambience was nice I have eaten here 3 times The food is excellent - am fine with a smaller menu but it was delicious and well presented There is just this slight issue... Good quality food, served to suit theatre timing. Your table available for interval refreshment so that's a nice extra. Three course at a good price and portion size right for a 'normal' appetite.

We have stopped eating here because of the poor quality of the food and very slow service which doesn't seem to recognise that show time is the dead line. With a captive audience and service from 5.30 pm, it should be possible to offer 3 course and coffee for a 7.30 performance but all too often there was a an... More

I've not eaten here for at least a year so thought I'd try again as it's convenient for pre Theatre dinner. The staff cannot be faulted and the food was lovely, however, the same problem seemed to exist with the whole process being so slow. I can't work out if they are short staffed in the kitchen or whether it's... More
