Our family run business is now firmly established as a destination dining country inn. We have created a relaxed and friendly ambiance in an eclectic interior with quality fabrics, comfortable furnishings and an attention to detail throughout the operation. Our ethos is simple, to deliver great quality classic food, sourcing fresh products locally. The same attention is applied to our drinks, carefully selected value for money wines from around the world, organic juices, local real ales & ciders and fabulous Nespresso coffee. When the weather is warm enjoy lazy lunches or evening suppers in our terraced gardens and for that special occasion dine in private in our library themed room for up to 12 people. New for autumn 2014 is an external fireplace, cosy wool blankets to enjoy alfresco drinks as winter approaches, under our new glazed veranda.

What a find, as soon as we pulled on the car park we knew we were going to a lovely meal, we were greeted very warmly, shown to our table, which was great, Menu was lovely, plenty to choose from, was served with our starters very quickly, all plates were sent back clean, mains were delicious, once again clean plates, desserts were... Attentive service, confident cookery, and completely lacking in pretension. Just what you want from a pub with good food. It is easy to do complex things badly, less easy to do simple things well. Translucent Cod, Creamed Celeriac that crept on to the taste buds and a Mango Bavarois that really just tasted of mango. Simple, but excellent craft.

We used to eat here a lot when it first opened but intolerable noise, and variable food and service eventually got us down. Good amateur standard for the area.

Have visited many times in the last year and have never been disappointed. Great food, lovely atmosphere, and good friendly service. This is our favourite place to eat.

Visited for Sunday lunch with family. Lovely ambiance with up market feel to the place. Good range of dishes for Sunday lunch. Starter of scallops particularly good and excellent value. Roasts great and lovely desserts. Well done! Would definitely come again.

Visited on a Sunday, therefore slightly more limited menu than I would have liked (but understandable due to Sunday roasts). Food was very well done- the only minor complaint would be that service wasn't incredibly quick; not slow by any stretch of the imagination but not as fast as I would have liked. Other than that it was great- most... More

We took my son for his 18th on Valentine's night, the set menu was great. We were the customers from hell with all sorts of requests at odds with the menu including an 8 year old. Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of steaks was exceptional. The same comments were made by the rest of the party. Our requests... More

A good welcome, stylish decor but above all really good food. Well cooked and nicely presented. What a pity this restaurant is not near us in Kent as we would certainly be regulars
