Delicious Carvery!

Not usually a big fan of carveries...I think this is because down south they're all chain restaurants, but this was a proper pub and a proper roast! A family Sunday lunch for seven of us and of course this very popular village pub in the Vale of Evesham is busy, in fact, almost full! It's an interesting place, full of character with a friendly family atmosphere. I think that most dinners were taking the carvery. This is a popular choice for a lunchtime but sadly, it just... Great local pub which punches well above its weight when it comes to food. Amazing value Carvery on a Sunday (now during the week as well) but they also have a great Gluten Free menu available and do an amazing take a way gluten free fish 'n chips. and to top it off they have Devon Mist cider on tap... We frequently visit the Round of Gras and have never been disappointed. The staff are welcoming and friendly and very efficient. We have tried the Carvery as well as the Al A Carte Menu's and all have been most pleasant and plentiful with prompt service.

We visit the Round of Gras regularly for the quiz evenings and always eat beforehand. There is a good general "pub food" menu supplemented by specials and seasonal fare, especially during the asparagus season. Everything is home cooked and reasonably priced. I don't understand the "microwave on overtime" comment from a previous reviewer.

Cheap and cheerful, poor food, average at best. Mass produced fairly bland pub food, average service.
