Good-quality pub fiod

Popped in for lunch today while visiting Broadway. There's no end of choice for food in this lovely village but we weren't disappointed with The Horse and Hound: we both had burgers and both of them (one lamb, one beef) were really good, and the ale was spot on and clearly well kept. The landlord... read more

Having being disappointed with our trip to the Mount Inn, Broadway where after waiting c. 1hr we could get anyone to take our food order, we stopped here and enjoyed an excellent bar meal. Menu selection was not vast, but food delivered on quality and value! Service was friendly and efficient too

Shopping with a friend on a drizzly, cold day we were attracted by the appearance of the pub and the log fire we spotted through the window. On entry we were surprised to find it empty. We ordered mulled wine, just the thing on such a day and it was good, not over sweetened as is often the case. Had... More

Despite not having booked on the first visit we were found a table and had an excellent meal. Booked for the following night and had another good meal. Service was very good and very friendly.

It was our first trip to Broadway and after having a look around the lovely shops and a stroll in the park with my children I was really taken by it all! The place reminded me a little but like "Stow" which we visit a lot. We eventually worked up an appetite and noticed a lovely looking pub and could... More

Called in after a long walk into this busy pub, had to wait to be served which was fine. there were 14 of us so naturally it was a large order of drinks but after changing the gas on the bitter the landlord (?) Started moaning that with such a large order messed everything up! When we asked for chips... More

Sometime ago, I ate the most delicious tomato and basil soup for lunch in the Horse and Hounds and the memory stayed with me. Once again whilst working locally, I decided to call in for lunch and joy of all joys, the tomato and basil soup was on the menu. To go with the soup, rather than bread, I had... More

I'd quite literally popped in for a quick drink before setting off home and waited at the bar for 10 minutes before being served. I was ignored and finally got quite annoyed when the bar girl went to serve someone else in front of me. For a lunchtime, to be so understaffed is totally unacceptable. For the short time I... More

The steak and ale pie was wonderful. My son enjoyed his salmon, and of course, Guinness. Service was a little slow, and as there were not many people in there at that time, not understandable. But we could walk from our B&B, so that was definitely a plus.
