Fancied a snack and a drink, ordered a cheese baguette, pork baguette, £7 each, absolute disgrace, cheese baguette had a handfull of grated cheese, and 2 thin slices of tomato, side salad was virtually non existant, pork baguette, with apple sauce, pork was dry and virtually inedible, to rub salt in the wounds, £4 for a pint of Cider, tasted... First time visit to the Mount Inn for myself and my wife and felt I must write a quick review.Set in a elevated position overlooking the picture postcard village of Stanton we where left surprised that this resteraunt/bar had slipped through the net on our numerous visits to the area not just for the sunset views but also the fabulous... After walking the first 10 miles of the Cotswold Way from Chipping Campden to Stanton we didn't expect to find such a nice restaurant in this small village. The staff is very helpful and gave us good advice about drinks and food. After watching a stunning sunset outdoors, like travellers to Africa use to do on safari, we had a... More

My wife and I visited The Mount on two consecutive evenings whilst staying for a long weekend in a self catering cottage in the local village of Stanton. The first comment has to be the staff..they are brilliant! We were warmly welcomed and although we hadn't booked (not knowing that tables are quite rightly hard to get...book before you visit!),... Have eaten several times here and the food and staff are all to a very high standard. It's a bit of a way out but worth it. Specials board always has a good choice and lots of it! Lovely views and be prepared to wait on summer days as it does get really busy. Just as lovely to visit on... More

Having learnt from previous visits that it's better to book in advance or risk a long wait or no tables available, we booked a table for 6pm and arrived about twenty minutes early. The pub was closed and stayed closed until exactly 6pm. This was on a Saturday, and it seems they could make a lot more money by opening... More

We had lunch at The Mount Inn in Stanton, Worcestershire, on our private tour through the Cotswolds. Quite pleasant. Our driver/guide had made reservations for us and we were not disappointed. English food is not as bad as some say! Had the fish and chips with malt vinegar with mushy peas and a pint of local Donnington Ale. Can't really... More

I regularly brought visitors to Stanton and we normally stopped at the Mount Inn for lunch. Today we got there about 14:40 and had tea in the garden. We didn't know the pub was shut at 15:00. We asked to use the bathroom when some staff were cleaning the pub. We were not allowed and the staff was very very... More

My husband and I went to The Mount Inn for my birthday treat after it was recommended by a friend. It was a lovely sunny day so the pub was very busy (I'm glad I called ahead and booked a table!) but the staff were still extremely friendly and attentive. The pub is set in a beautiful location with glorious... More
