Service Hard to beat!

My wife and I plus her brother and wife visited the Mount last weekend for dinner. We have often popped in before or after local walks on the Cotswold Way but have never been able to get a table, so we booked this time! For a Saturday it was surprisingly quiet, but the staff were immediately... read more

We travel each year to the Cotswolds around this time. Each time we ensure that our trip includes a walk from Broadway with lunch at The Mount Inn. In spite of normally being covered in mud and accompanied by an equally wet and muddy labrador, the staff could not be more helpful and welcoming (they are clearing well versed in... More

Haven't been here for years, I always remember it as a place to go for a Sandwich or a cow pie at lunch time but times have changed. Fantastic specials board, very attentive service and great food, we will be back, highly recommended!

I have written a few reviews but none as enthusiastically as this. All the right ingredients are there - the village is very attractive, the pub is charming.and the service is excellent. And there are well kept beers and wines. And of course none of this should ever be taken for granted. However, what makes this pub really different is... More

Located in Stanton, a picture perfect Cotswold village, a few miles from Broadway. Drive through the village and keep climbing - the pub name is no accident! There is plenty of parking and inside is a cosy bar with a lovely fireplace and a couple of dining rooms. Food is fairly standard pub fare on the menu but with some... More

Lovely little village below and great location for a pub with loads of character and a nice view when the weather is good. Downside is the pub is small and with all the tables there is little room to swing a cat. Tiny bar area means you end up queuing to get a drink on top of people sitting eating.... More

I visited the pub and we got given the best table immediately. Every staff member had a smile on their face and bent over backwards to help. I have many dietary requirements for food and drink. The staff listened attentively and helped as much as they could. I was made a special gluten free fish and chips and I was... More

Worth visiting this pub just for the delightful drive through beautiful Cotswold village of Stanton. As you get nearer the pub you begin to understand how it got its name, you need plenty of "welly" to get up the last bit of the steep incline. Once up there you experience the lovely view over the village and across to the... More
