Nice local pub

Arrived here for a late lunch and found the place busy, noisy and friendly. We were lucky enough to grab the last table in the corner near the fireplace and settled down with two drinks to peruse the menu. Looking around we noticed the meals were quite large so we opted to share a plate of scampi... read more

Ate lunch here on Bank holiday Monday 25 May, would have preferred the Mount inn as we were doing the 6 mile round walk but you cant book a table there on B/H. Sadly the queue at the Mount was huge so we decided to go to the Snowshill inn. What a mistake !!!. Whilst the pub is OK & the... More

We've just got back from a visit to the NT property Snowhill Manor. Passed the Snowshill Arms on the way there and decided to drop in for a pint and a bite after we'd finished our tour. What a lovely pub. Great beers, really good value and great quality food and great selection. Super service from the staff and speedy... More

First visit, and what a smashing pub. Great olde world charm, and lovely welcome. Our beef was first class, with ALL the trimmings. Nice and hot and beautifully cooked. Presentation was perfect, and I finished the whole plate, which is very rare for me. Wish I could have managed a pudding, as they looked nice too. Hubby said beer was... More

We were keen to try a Sunday lunch here-we were not disappointed either! Georgeous roast beef-just a little pink as desired! With French beans , carrots & cauliflower in sauce it was a huge plateful together with roast potatoes & a smallish Yorkshire-no matter there was lots to enjoy with a pint of BB ale! After a break we decided... More

Heard good things about the food and to be honest was disappointed,my wife and I both had fish and chips. Fish looked like it was a frozen standard size smooth batter like you could get from any supermarket, would have preferred the chip shop type not all standard size and crispy batter. Chips ok but very dry on the bright side... More

An unspoilt pub in a picturesque village, we arrived around midday on Easter Sunday and the pub was very busy. However, we were treated very courteously and a table was found for us - the landlady was most accommodating. Although the pub was busy, we didn't have to wait unduly long for our lunches ; the food was deliciously homemade,... More

Stayed in a national trust cottage here this week and called into the Snowshill Arms on Monday night for a meal. Wasn't sure what to to expect as it was a Monday night and out of season. Needn't have worried. Kitchen was clearly up and running. I had local faggots with mushy peas and mash. They were as good as... More

We had not been back here for sometime! I liked the prawn cocktail (shades of 60s , I know) A tastey sauce with it! My partner had the melted camembert & really enjoyed it mmmm- a different starter anyway & not for me-no matter! My lasagne was a good portion with salad & chips-also nicely served in an individual dish!... More

If, like my wife and I you're in the Cotswolds from the U S., you won' find a better, more typical English village pub anywhere. Cozy, pet friendly (not sure about kids), good selection of beers, boisterous locals and a wide selection of hearty (but maybe not heart healthy!) pub grub. Fish and chips for the Mrs, faggots and peas... More
