I have walked past the Lygon Arms many times and always thought the restaurant must be way too expensive, so I was delighted to find that you can have a great two or three course lunch for £15.50 or £19.50 respectively, and it was an excellent lunch. The atmosphere is good in this lovely old hall, and the service was... More

There was a good varied choice of breakfast, the olive bread was to die for and the staff were polite. I bet this hotel is lovely to stay at in the winter when all the fireplaces are lit x

Booked through Secret Escapes as a hotel package for my parents as my Dad's 70th Birthday treat. Fabulous meal in a lovely atmosphere, staff lovely and very accommodating.

Couldn't fault the service or food at dinner. Staff very attentive and plates beautifully presented. The extra special effort on our dessert plates was greatly appreciated. Would definately return when in the area. Sadly, breakfast served was a let down and was on the whole mediocre. Good choice but full English more akin to that of a motorway services. Cheap... More

High barrel ceiling and minstrel gallery, tables set with white cloths, gleaming cutlery and sparkling glassware promise a fine dining experience. The service was friendly but fell well below five star standards. The food was of a good standard but didn't match up to the surroundings and we had to challenge the bill as we had been wrongly charged for... More

We ate here yesterday when staying overnight at The Lygon Arms. The food was very good and especially well presented (I had tomato & lentil soup followed by pork and a chocolate desert) and the service was very attentive throughout. Not quite what I would call an 'outstanding' meal, but it was certainly well worth the visit - and future... More

We have previously had dinner and breakfast in the Great Hall and on both occasions had great food and wonderful service. We discovered they did a Sunday lunch which is £15.50 for two courses and £19.95 for three courses. We thought it had to be worth a visit. The food was superb. A very good choice of items for a... Lovely surroundings and excellent service. Food served piping hot and the quality was superb. You can choose from their fixed menu or the a la carte. Would benefit from a larger selection of dishes on the menu.
