Set in the Lygon Arms Hotel in the small Cotswold village of Broadway, The Great Hall provides a striking setting for a meal that needs to impress. This oak-panelled restaurant is full of period charm, with an imposing barrel-vaulted ceiling, 17th-century minstrels' gallery and stately suits of armour. Two AA Rosettes adorn the restaurant's modern European menu, prepared with classical French flair, which features ingredients grown in the hotel's own gardens.

Friendly service

Very well presented , tasty food and friendly helpful staff . Would welcome a little more vegetarian and fish options though . Although they were very open to swapping various dishes from the set menu and Al a carte around for us with no fuss .

I went with a group of friends for afternoon tea. We were expecting a great experience but it was just a standard afternoon tea with stale sandwiches. However the new owner was friendly.

We stayed at The Lygon Arms fro three days and we used this restaurant on our first night, quite pricey for the standard of the food a friends soup lacked flavour and my rib eye steak was very chewy. We enjoyed our stay but went to other venues to eat on the other two nights.

Booked for Sunday Lunch for Myself, my Wife, and Mother in Law, when I booked I omitted to say my Mother in Law had mobility problems, but when we arrived staff were very helpful and attentative in accommodating her, even taking into account the venue is very old and traditional, and therefore not particularly wheelchair friendly. What a fantastic hotel and restaurant. Service on the night was superb, the food was fantastic with a great wine list to complement the food. Would recommend it to everyone and will definitely be going back as soon as we can.

Been for lunch on Mother's day, what a dissapointment, first of all the staff not very professional or friendly, borderline to being rude, the foods is just plain average pub food, overcooked, dry yorkshire pudding, i had a lemon tart for desert, the pastry were shop brought, the wine was too warm, no athmosphere in the room, very dissapointing experience.... We dined here on two nights as part of a WinterBreak deal with the Hotel Collection (which we would thoroughly recommend) and had a great time! Having recently been captivated by 'Wolf Hall' on BBC2 this was right up our street, all we needed was Henry VIII to appear and candles instead of the light bulbs in the chandeliers!. The... More

As it had been several months since we had last had Sunday Lunch at The Lygon Arms, we decided to try it again last weekend.
