Booked for dinner on Saturday night at The Greene Oak whilst staying at Oakley Court Hotel just up the road. So glad we did. I would describe us as "foodies" and we can't fault the food we were served. The interior of the restaurant is lovely, very homely but stylish at the same time. The menu was varied and there... More

Been to the Greene oak a few times. They have a good Sunday roast. Children's menu is a little thin though. Have a nice garden area to enjoy a beer in the summer months.

I was here for Sunday lunch for my birthday with family and was sorely disappointed. The new owners, the Metropolitan Pub Co. appear to turned another really great food restaurant/pub in to another over priced & disappointing one (as appears to have happened with the Cricketers in Warfield which they also own). On arrival we found that our table was... More

Just had another lovely meal at the Greeneoak. Met and welcomed by the ever consistently professional Joao, he, along with the rest of the team help to create a very pleasant, warm atmosphere., Menu varied and something for everyone. I had a starter size of the Risotto and then the Trout, absolutely gorgeous. Thank you again for a positive experience.

Never heard of it (and only live 4 miles away), but were looking for an informal supper venue with friends who recommended it and will be back. A wet & windy night outside, but a very warm welcome inside. Bustly environment, attentive service. Salmon mouse starter not startling, but white onion soup and duck special plus the steaks VERY good.... More

Recently changed ownership and has lost some of its polish and character. Food ok but expensive, service slow but friendly. To be blunt you can get better value and quality elsewhere.

I didn't know this was under new ownership but I genuinely thought something had changed, not for the good. I was disappointed that the menu was quite limited, the starters were so small and the mains were basic gastropub formulaic stuff. Nothing offensive. Apart from the short wait for our table I thought the service was good although the staff... More

Facts: Dinner reserved for 10 people, we had to hold the reservation with £100 deposit. Starters that were chosen were good. We had a wait of 1 hour before we received our main course. Main courses that were chosen: Lamb, potatoes and veg - lamb was chewy, potatoes couldn't be cut and veg blanched. Beef, Yorkshire pudding, veg and potatoes... More
