I visited with a group of 8 and I enjoyed the evening, I choose well with a starter of duck egg and avocado - it was excellent but not served with any bread which turned up when I had finished the starter. serving times felt too long to me despite being in a group and engrossed in conversation. The main... More

We went to this restuarant because of the good reviews on this site. We had chateaubriand, not impressed and the twice cooked cooked chips are leftovers cooked from the previous day. Service and the wine is good, but the food is not. Our advice is any other restuarant in Windsor is better

We were 3 adults, a 4 year old and a baby in a pram. We were given a warm welcome and given a table that allowed us plenty of space for the pram. We had Welsh Rarebit and Afternoon Tea. Both delicious and presented well. The cakes change daily and were strawberry and cream or lime and mint - both... More

Had a great lunch here today. Fantastic food and service. Well worth the drive from Newbury. Had the lamb shoulder, cooked to perfection. Very good service as well.

Eaten there once while staying on business. I was sufficiently impressed to eat there toady with my wife and daughter. We were not disappointed. Clean and original decor. VERY attentive staff. It was the sort of menu that is very difficult. That is, there are so many delicious items, it is almost impossible to decide. Eventually we did and the... More

Bel & The Dragon has a great location, on a pedestrianised road adjacent to the bridge linking Windsor and Eton, On a fine day or evening, it's a great place to eat outside. The food is very tasty, although prices are more in line with restaurant-type food than the pub-like atmosphere. On which subject, for a place that looks like... More

Had dinner here as I wanted a restaurant with a reasonably varied menu including great British staples to more fancy delicate plates. I had the scallops to start and the fish special which was a good sized portion and tasted wonderful. My partner had the fish pie which was piping hot and packed full of fish, it was lovely. Great... I have previously enjoyed dinner with my husband so much that I returned for lunch the next day. Busy friendly atmosphere. On my last visit I was on a tight schedule and didn't have time to eat but called in for a drink. I was made to feel very welcome, unfortunately I left my jacket behind. A phone call later... More

When in shabby chic pub eatery you charge 9 sterlings for a fried calamari starter (dusted with pink peppercorn and upsold in a square place in the menu), you need to make sure that these squid rings (besides being fresh and tender) have something special, both in taste and presentation. Some smoked paprika on the coating was felt. The accompanying... More
