You'll find The Alma just 5 minutes walk from Windsor town centre tucked away on a charming Victorian red brick terraced lined street. We are a traditional English pub serving a range of beers, ales, fine wines and great food....The size of our portions are legendary. We also have the largest beer garden in Windsor, great for those hot summer days and evenings, should we see them! We are conveniently located for Heathrow, the M4 and the M25. The Alma is full of antiques and collectable's including: furniture, paintings, pictures, mirrors, ceramics and interesting knick-knacks We also have a collection of rare film posters and are constantly adding interesting and unusual items to The Alma. It's like pubs used to be and, in our opinion, should be.

Great local pub!

Lovely pub, great food all at a reasonable price. Great service too from the Irish barman, Owen, very personable and made us feel very welcome. We will be back soon.

If your are staying in the Holiday Inn Express Hotel the Alma club is just a short walk (350m) away and a must go since the food is great and decently priced. I recommend the Ripeye steak! The pub also features a quiz night and with its extremly friendly bartender Owen the Alma is a guarantee for a joyful pub... More

Generous portion sizes and chicken wings that were amazing. Nice to have a play area for the kids to give the parents a break!

Hidden away down a quiet residential road, the Alma is a little gem that's well worth finding. Decorated with bric a brac and old posters, the mish mash of scrubbed wood tables helps to create an atmosphere that's reminiscent of a byegone era. Friendly service and a good natured clientele, the pub was busy even on a Tuesday. Food is served... More

So staying for one night in Windsor and The Alma was highly recommended by the B&B I am staying at. I was told they have amazing food, chips to die for and the only pub I was they would eat at ... As a sole lady walking into a pub I was welcomed heartily, Owen the bar manager and Helen... More

The Alma is one of my favourites of all time. great steaks, great chips, great beer garden and such a laid back atmosphere. i use this place often for business dinners and it never fails to hit just the right spot. if only every restaurant/pub was as good as this the trade would be significantly stronger. if you have the... The title says it all. 3 of us visited the pub after work for a drink a bite to eat. We were immediately made to feel at home by Owen. We ordered starters and mains and it was absolutely beautiful. It was the best burger I have ever tasted and I have had a few! Nice people and a great... More

Went with my 90year old mum. Food was excellent and they helped find a parking space so she didn't need to walk far. Great to see a local pub make great virtue of unfussy good food. Parking could be a problem but well worth the effort of any short walk. Food took some time but was fresh and tasty. Patience... More

Hi Timsky2013, Thank you for your kind words, the team care so much its wonderful! Glad we could help with the parking space!! It can be a pain! In terms of the time for the food, not sure if you saw the people in the garden so it was fairly busy with people eating, we have a very small kitchen... More

I was feeling a bit down this morning, but then my friend had the great idea of coming down to the Alma for a couple of cold ones... What a great choice!!! Had a great time getting to meet the jolly Irish barman Owen; service second to none and his gentlemanly charm did not go amiss!
