You'll find The Alma just 5 minutes walk from Windsor town centre tucked away on a charming Victorian red brick terraced lined street. We are a traditional English pub serving a range of beers, ales, fine wines and great food....The size of our portions are legendary. We also have the largest beer garden in Windsor, great for those hot summer days and evenings, should we see them! We are conveniently located for Heathrow, the M4 and the M25. The Alma is full of antiques and collectable's including: furniture, paintings, pictures, mirrors, ceramics and interesting knick-knacks We also have a collection of rare film posters and are constantly adding interesting and unusual items to The Alma. It's like pubs used to be and, in our opinion, should be.

Fantastic food and fantastic staff

Found this restaurant on tripadvisor and it was amazing. From the second we arrived the owner, Owen, was really friendly. We were late but he was nice and welcoming and chatty whilst we waited for our friends to arrive before sitting us down. He was very attentive and the food was great! Huge... read more

Have previously been here a few times and have enjoyed the food. This time I visited with friends on a Friday afternoon to enjoy the sunshine in their lovely garden. Ordered the Camembert for a starter - lovely however I do question why pepper and carrot were served with it, not something I've had with cheese before! Ordered the Alma... More

Had to wait ages for food. When it arrived: burger was dry; chips were over-seasoned. No competition for restaurants in town.

First visit to the Alma. Daughter had sourced this pub for lunch through trip advisor. Arrived and pretty empty so thought did not bode well. How wrong I was. The welcome was big, the portions even bigger. Food was absolutely delicious and nothing was too much trouble. We ended our meal with the best Key Lime Pie ever (Hugemungus portion).... More

We were tourists who needed to get out of the crowds. It was quite a walk from the castle, but totally worth it. The chips and cheese were great, nice beer, and tasty Sunday roast and pudding. The staff was really friendly to us, as well.

Well, It was my 40th Birthday but I secretly knew this. My best pal said to meet her there. We had our kids with us. They loved it and I loved their hospitality and the star of the day was their beloved Admiral..! He gave me a big kiss and I was smitten! This place is a marvelous place off... More

Went to the Alma after years of ignoring it and having lived in Windsor for a long long time, went for the sunday roast after friends had recommended it, the pub was heaving with people having the roast and also just punters having a Sunday pint, was informed of the wait for food when ordering so I enjoyed a few... Fab food, Great staff and a bit of Windsor unspoilt by mass tourism! Great at any time of the day or night. Good Guinness too!

Olde Worlde type pub with undoubtedly the best comfort food in town. Generous size portions, with a friendly style service. One particular member of staff stands out, Owen. Owen always goes to great lengths to ensure a warm welcome with his engaging personality. This is a family friendly local pub, where dogs are welcome too. One of the few places... More

We were on a weekend trip to Legoland Windsor and needed to find somewhere to get dinner after 6 hours of motorway driving. A quick check on Trip Advisor and The Alma looked like a great option. When we eventually got there the welcome was great, and Owen went out of his way to make sure we were all taken... More
