The proprietor met us outside as we looked at the menu. He was friendly and told us Castello is in the oldest building in Windsor. We tried it out and we're glad we did. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the service was great and attentive and the price was right. Perfect for after touring the castle.

We'd been to see the panto, and meeting my daughter and her husband for dinner, looked for something special. Spoke to the owner at lunch to book for 8-45pm, no name needed and when we turned up the table was waiting! Amazing atmosphere, intimate even though the main room is small and tables quite close together. Don't expect express service,... More

The garlic bread to start was juicy and full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The breaded mushrooms were also delicious. We then had two fillet steaks which were also perfectly cooked. Finally the profiteroles were covered in chocolate. As well as great food, our evening was made so much better by the initial greeting by the delightful Egyiptian waiter... More

Four of us went here for pre-theatre dinner. This makes two courses good value for money. This is one of our favourite restaurants in Windsor, and believe me there are hundreds to choose from. Nice to go to a smallish cosy place right next to Guildhall. The service was good but it was the food that was particularly delicious. We... More

Just a few steps away from the Castle, this restaurant was a nice surprise. A very welcoming place, where the chef prepared delicious mediterranean dishes (certified by very picky Italians on holiday!). Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, decent portions and reasonably priced. A very nice experience, definitely going back again.

We came here for dinner and were treated very well by the staff. The meal was delicious and the service quick. It's expensive as every thing is in Windsor but was well worth it. Would recommend.
