The food was pretty good with a reasonable wine list but two things let it down. Firstly the place is very understaffed....they did their level best but just couldn't cope. It took 50 minutes to get the first course after sitting down and the main course was also an age. The staff agreed that the place was understaffed but said... more

This is an old half-timbered English pub altered inside into French bistro style which doesn't quite work. The lighting is too understated and the seats hard. We chose the single course lunchtime menu which is served with a glass of fairly indifferent house wine and a jug of stale tasting tap water. My wife had moules which were plentiful, large... more

We had a superb lunch today, 2 people had Duck, 1 the sunday roast which was beef and I had the vegeterian tart which was delicous. During the year this is a good eaterie - we really enjoyt it but went for a Christmas do and it was diabolical and alot of money. more
