We had an Old Girls Form Reunion here in June. It was the most glorious sunny day and we able to sit outside drinking our champagne. The lunch was superbly cooked and presented and hot. There was limitless amount of cold water dispensed throughout lunch without being asked which was great. The whole lunch was beautiful with endless cups of... More

On my birthday (21 April) 9 of us went to Howard's House for lunch. It was a perfect day with gentle sunshine so we sat in the garden under umbrellas and had our pre-lunch drinks. The food was perfect; everyone agreed and the wine list, though a little pricey, was also very good. Everyone enjoyed all 3 courses and then... More

Went there for a family celebration. Glorious, fresh local food and great service. Lovely village location, would defiantly recommend for a meal or short break.

Went for dinner with my wife. Menu had some great choices of local, seasonal dishes. Staff were very friendly and there was a cosy atmosphere to the place. The food was first class, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will go back and stay in the hotel as it is in a very pretty location

We were lucky enough to be invited to a wedding party here at the weekend, so decided to treat ourselves to a room. From booking, to the initial greeting, the delicious afternoon tea, sumptuous bed and immaculate bedroom, all was perfect. Could it get better? Yes, breakfast was divine. We are going to return next year. A total treat.

The dinner was excellent however lack of attention to detail brings it down. Dinner although VG Was served by a waiter with a very bad stain on his trousers, the chef for reasons of his own although charming was wearing track suit bottoms exposing a large area of sweaty skin to the dinners. Bedroom. No zapper for TV, very dirty... More

Excellent evening meal at delightful country house hotel with our tour party of 14, prior to sunset visit to Stonehenge. What a treat! They served us drinks in the garden, then we sat down to (pre-ordered) meal with some added taster treats. Service was great, food delicious and we were sorry to have to leave so early. This would be... More

The Howard House is a boutique hotel in the exquisite village of Teffont Evias. The restaurant is small and elegant and the dining terrace is perfect, set in a manicured garden. We happend on it by chance and received a warm and genuine welcome from the excellent staff. The food was exceptional and the wine impressive. My wife asked for... More

This small boutique hotel is set in the magnificent Wiltshire countryside in the beautiful quiet and picturesque village of Tefont Evias. The village has a rippling stream running alongside the road and the hotel is a converted old residence which just belongs there. We were celebrating 39 years of wedded bliss and couldn't have chosen a nicer place to visit.... More

Our third visit to the hotel for one of those very special occasions which don’t occur too frequently – we thought of Howards House straight away and on the whole, it did not disappoint. Familiarity might temper this revue slightly as we didn’t think the service experience matched our previous visits. Our party of 4 had mains served to 2... More
